Dresden Files

So I've become obsessed recently with the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. I devoured the 15 released books in about a month, then moved onto the graphic novels, and lately have been reading a lot of the fan fic.

I've even been toying with writing some of my own, which I've never done before...

However... (spoilers below)

In Changes, Harry is paralyzed after he falls from a ladder trying to rescue his elderly neighbors from their burning building. Because he's desperate to save his daughter, he makes a bargain with Queen Mab that enables him to "fix" his broken spine. This of course sets things up for the rest of the book (and the series).

However, I thought it might be interesting to write an alternate universe in which Harry doesn't make the bargain. (And thus remains paralyzed.)

As far as I can see, no one has written anything like this. Would this be something someone would be interested in reading? It's not like I *need* to start yet another project, but it might be fun.

Anyway, thought I'd toss the idea out there.

Queen's name is very known!!... she was mentioned by Shakespear in a couple of his masterpieces... and in other places too. Amazing!

lol. Yeah, the Summer Queen is called Titania. Butcher uses a lot of real folklore and myth in his world building.

I have a friend who LOVES this series. He's not necessarily a big reader in general, but he always reads the latest Dresden book.

I didn't know about that plot. Sounds like some juicy fanfic to me!
