Hey, Paradevo folks. Thirty-something guy in a wheelchair from Texas. I'm a lurker to your board, mostly, still learning the norms and lingo. My day job involves entire conversations in acronyms, so I should be able to pick up the alphabet soup used here. (Is there a cheat sheet?) My interests vary, food, music, art/photography, pop culture, whiskey, sports. A renaissance selection of interests makes for interesting conversations, plus, I love to learn new things, especially from folks who are passionate about what interests them. Once, I paired whiskey with cupcakes for a party. It was a hit. I'll confess, I'm not too hip to disability culture. My parents raised me to be as able as possible, plus, my interactions with other disabled folks weren't very positive when I was young--too many self pitying and angry people. Live life, experience it, no need to create storm clouds to rain on other people's parades. So, why I joined. My disability is a progressive one, muscular dystrophy (not duchenne) and life is getting a bit more challenging. I can still drive my vehicle, get out, be social, have fun, play with puppies. Dating, or meeting a woman that can look past a disability, well, it's easier to find Waldo in a candy cane factory. Feel free to ask any questions.

Welcome! Whisky and cupcakes, huh? Sounds .... horrible! I am not particulary passionate about whiskey, so I am sure you can´t learn any whiskey-related stuff from me... BUT I love cupcakes!

welcome to the jungle. also don't know much about whisky - only that there is a difference between whisky and whiskey... It's somewhat of a cultural thing. The Scots use "whisky" for their Scotch and the rest of the world uses "whiskey". It's not 100% always like that, such as Makers Mark Whisky, but it's a good rule of thumb. They are amazing. Have you ever split the bottom half of the cupcake in half and placed it on top of the icing? Totally different cupcake experience. I love whiskey AND cupcakes If you wanted to recreate such an experience to impress friends: * bourbon + a vanilla or similarly flavored cupcake, maple or cinnamon could work * scotch + chocolate; the peatier the scotch, the darker the chocolate * irish + citrus or lightly fruity cupcakes All cupcakes lightly frosted. Enjoy!

And excuse me if I'm missing something, but isn't a candy cane factory the hardest place to find Waldo?
