You guys, I am finally leaving my day job!

I've been struggling for a long time there. Not because it isn't a good job, but it has been draining all my energy and making it really difficult for me to accomplish the things I actually want to devote my time and life to, which is the writing and publishing.

At the end of this month I will move to working on Dev Love Press full time.

Not because I'm actually making a living there yet, but I'm making enough to suplement my husband's new income. I hope that with more time to devote to it, I'll be able to develop it much further.

I've depended on self-publishing techniques to sell our books but I want to move to more "professional" techniques. The Kindle free run is not what it used to be. I've depended on that strategy and it no longer produces results. It's time to go back to the drawing board and make an ambitious plan to get our books real attention.

I've got a stack of seven books beside me right now all on how to run a small press, so I'll be burying myself in research today!

Thank you all for your support and I'm so thrilled to be getting DLP to the next step!

Great news Ruth, we need you!!!! :-) I totally understand about working in a regular job and then trying to make time for writing ...which is all I am doing at this point in my life...I wish so much sometimes that I could just take 8 hours a day at my desk and digging deeper into writing, reading and researching and all that comes with it...but I can't....there are so many other obligations I have in my life and it is difficult. I am very happy for you that you can now invest more time into DLP. You are an inspiration and because of you I am where I am today! Wishing you all the best in your endeavors!

Thanks for all your supportive messages! I'm super excited and yet also...scared? There's definitely a fear that I'm going to fall flat on my face, that I'm not good enough for this, etc. I'm trying to keep those doubts away!
