Absolutely, those are often the best. I love them because they are real and not so cheesy. Are you going to be writing Fubber?

Would you guys read stories based on real life situations? YES! There doesn't even have to be any sex. I prefer real-life stories to fantasy, but I may be in the minority on this board on that issue.

yes, yes, yes! real stories are the best. and, like devogirl said, for me sex in the story is optional. but i think i probably speak for all of us in saying that whatever a story is about, we like all the little details! so, are you gonna share some stories with us, mr. fubb?

You're a devo--just write what you want to read. Really, these things we post on the internet are purely for our own pleasure, so if you're not enjoying writing it, what's the point? Interesting that you should put it that way. How true it is! Really, my writing partner and I both have been able to establish about 2000+ pages of our story, simply because we love messing with the characters. As it turns out, when I post our maudlin collection of work, people actually read it! And comment. It's strange! But my offerings are available if anyone would want to put up with a fanfiction depiction of Quantum Leap characters having to deal with one of the main characters as a paralyzed man, dealing with day to day struggles of not only being a paraplegic, but also the foster parent of an estranged orphaned family member . . . Lots of fun and noodle salad. My references for the character's struggles and realities are as accurate as I could make them. I was married to a para for two years, so I know stuff from the inside. ^.~

Huh...my mom was just talking about how QL had been one of her favorites...but it's been what 14 years since that show?
Makes me wonder; what is the MOST OBSCURE fanfiction out there?

Huh...my mom was just talking about how QL had been one of her favorites...but it's been what 14 years since that show? First run was in 1989, I do believe. Until 1993. *sigh* Five seasons isn't too shabby, but I'm still sad that it got canceled. 'course, I didn't actually know this, as I became a fan with the reruns starting in 1995-ish on the Sci-Fi channel. And became a huge Dean Stockwell fan at the tender age of 13. Naturally, I had to put him in a wheelchair. It's a long story. Hey Silvermoon. You said you were married to a para for two years. If it is not too much of a personal question I would be interested to know why things didn't work out. Well, it's another long story. But our separation had nothing to do with his paralysis. He had certain issues, such as an alleged case of agoraphobia which "prevented" him from leaving the house very much. There was also a big problem with his unemployment and lack of desire to rectify that situation. It got to a bad point after I had three jobs while he continued to be content with living off of welfare . . . for no discernible good reason. He's a para, not a full-time-care quad. But that's the short version.

Did he have a problem leaving the house when it came to things like recreation or stuff that was for his own interest? I know people with Agoraphobia, some of them so bad that they are truly confined to the house. Was his truly agoraphobia, ie. he wouldn't drive, go to the supermarket, movies or anything like that.... or was it "job phobia"?
