That's friggin' annoying.
I liked the post because I appreciate that people are raising awareness. I don't like the actual shituation, of course.

Here, it's not so blatant. In CA, if someone can't enter the polling place despite it being accessible (such as if they're too frail), the poll workers can take a ballot and voting machine to the voter's car and they can vote there.
Many places suggest permanent absentee voter status for disabled, esp. where weather conditions make it difficult.

I'm drunk. ..otherwise I probably wouldn't say anything...but when stuff like that happens ... I just say "move that shit out of my way" it's surprisingly effective ...and nobody gets disturbed... signing off now...WKRP in Cincinnati

Kiran, its really not that big of a deal. Two years ago, in our last election for president, people with severe CP were allowed to vote for the first time, because our super competent government regarded them as mentally challenged ... It is a big deal. Clearly, the person was being blocked from voting. Any person with a disability should be allowed to vote as independent as they can. If the person needs assistance, it should be up to the person to decide that on their own. NEVER say anything is "no big deal".

As a wheeler... I have to agree with Lucy here. This is an action of ignorance...not maliciousness. Simply say, excuse me... I can't get through...nor can anyone else that needs to use the ramp'... problem solved instantly....you've educated someone, probably made a friend, and voted...all in the same day!

I have to agree, this wasn't done to prevent the wheeler masses from casting their votes, this was done because someone just didn't use the grey matter between their ears. No biggie, ask for help to move the chairs, or you can always just barrel through them. Nothing like causing a scene and showing some brute strength.
