I guess now it's just playing in LA and NY. Over the course of the month, it will be opening up on a larger scale.... Anybody from LA or NY seen it?

I saw it when it was on in the UK.
My attractions are very specific, paras and to a lesser extent amps.
Althought the film doesn't deal with these issues it is very watchable, and shows disabled guys in a really great light.

Rob: Does it deal with sex at all?

Not in any great depth.
Attractions, chatting up girls, pulling the opposite sex, etc are kind of in the background of the story from time to time. As in an 'inside I'm just a normal guy' kind of way.

I just saw another coming attraction for this movie in the theater. Is anyone else really frustrated that this is only playing in NY and LA? Does anyone else think the guy with quadriplegia is really hot?
Share my pain, people.....

I've just had the chance to see the trailer and the clips... It was sooo goood.... I don't think we will have this movie in this corner of Earth... If you find a site where I could download the script of it, please let me know - at least I could read it...

I just saw the trailer as well, and it looks like a great movie to me. I'd also like to find the script, but it's not showing up in my searches .

The movie finally came to my neck of the woods and I saw it this weekend. I liked it, although it was a bit slow. I'll talk about it a little here, so beware of a few spoilers (I won't give away the ending): The film is about Michael, a man with severe CP who is living in a home for "special people". He is intelligent but his speech is very slurred so that he is basically never understood by the people around him. Enter Rory O'Shea, a 20 year old kid with bleached spikey hair, afflicted with Duchenne's muscular dystrophy so that he can't move anything but a few fingers to control his wheelchair. Rory is the first person Michael has ever met who can understand his speech. Rory is sexy as all hell--his hair, the Scottish accent, the blue eyes. He's "trouble", as he declares himself to a girl in a pub. But the story isn't about Rory, but rather about how he changes Michael. Rory just wants to have fun and hates being stuck in the home. He plots his escape, but it is Michael who is granted the ability to live independently and employs Rory as his "interpreter". Rory solicits the beautiful Siobhan to be the personal assistant for the two young men--bathe them, put them to bed, etc. Highlights include Rory racing a pack of kids who think they can beat him on their scooters, driving a car (somehow) and getting himself arrested. Women are drawn to him and tend to offer themselves to him... I don't blame them... he's adorable. I think the hottest moment in the movie was when Rory and Siobhan fight after he gets himself arrested and she storms out before helping him get ready for bed. Michael offers Rory help, but Rory insists he doesn't need any help. Alone in his room, Rory stares at the wall and is quiet for the first time in the whole movie. Siobhan slowly enters and silently begins untying Rory's boots. In complete silence, she readies him for bed. Eventually, Michael falls in love with Siobhan, although Rory warns him this is a mistake. Rory watches the whole painful mess play itself out, unable to stop it. That's all the plot summary I'm going to give, since I don't want to spoil it entirely.

I just saw this movie. It was pretty good overall; I didn't like the ending too much. Could've used more scenes of Siobhan bathing Rory... ;-)
Judit, maybe you can find a copy of the movie online (bit torrent, P2P, etc). It's not stealing if you have no way to pay for it legally, right? Of course its not exactly a hollywood blockbuster. May be hard to find...
