I'm not sure this will do anything for the dev factor, but it seems pretty righteous...Although, robots in general are pretty righteous. Oh, technology... ohzlab.kaist.ac.kr/robot/fx_intro.html

I only want one if it comes with 'lazers'. But the website has the best quote EVER for a piece of equipment possibly aimed at people with disabilities: 'Comming a natural walking with carrying old and feeble people' Those kerazee japanese.

Wasn't there a cartoon made with that idea in mind?
Then AI will come around and then we'll be seriously fucked. Thousands of bitter SCIs losing control of their robots all lining up for their weapons upgrades, and an automated sound system that screams like Joe from family guy " BRING IT OOON!! " helpless to stop it. Only able to watch.

Actually they are Korean. But seriously, couldn't they find a better translater? And did you see the photos? Sheesh, it looks like Captain Kirk's chair on the Enterprise, welded onto the legs of Mobile Suit Gundam. If you think you are conspicuous in your Quickie, just try taking that thing to the mall.
Mellow, your horrifying vision of the future had me laughing... it's like that Simpsons episode where Homer imagines a robot Marge, who kills him: "Oh why did I give her a gun?!" "No one's being replaced by a robot...until we work out all the bugs."

I'm just always pleased to see the word "righteous" used... and you said it twice.

It looks huge, you wouldn't be able to get anywhere but sit in one room.

Ok, after Ive had time to think about it Ive reconsidered. This might be the coolest idea yet. Because what is it? The first generation if not a basic prototype. Fast forward about 10-20 years. New micro materials, basic nano technology, and computers 200 times faster then they are today.
Who knows how agile and compact they will be able to make it by then.

EXACTLY, mellow...I've read of some research on mechanical duplication of how 6 legged insects ambulate, because they're very fast and stable.
Legs would take you where wheels could never go. But the real problem would be powering a human carrier...

I'm thinking one day, a robot might be hard to distinguish from a real human. I hope so, i'll be ordering mine that looks like Carmen Electra. Hmmmm, which brings up a interesting concept....is it immoral to fuck a robot???

Yeah...
...still I'm not sure I'd want a robot-throne thing to be my way to get around, like devogal said...it's a little bit conspicuous (and there's only so much it can be downsized, even with any sort of technology for it to be functional).
...robots indistinguishable from humans...call me Connor, but that's kinda' scary actually...I don't know how the robot sex would be like...though you could probably make some new genre of porn (if it doesn't already exist)...I do recall reading some magazine about a Sims video that someone put together of some guy with a couple of robot ladies...

I'm just always pleased to see the word "righteous" used... and you said it twice. I don't think that 'righteous' is used nearly enough in everyday conversation. I think we all need to make an effort to remedy that. That is, of course, unless you're someone who enjoys being uncool....
