Well, as a quad, I find the name of the fund somewhat exclusive/non-inclusive/offensive. I'm sure there was no offense meant in the naming of the fund, but it divides the SCI community into 2 classes, which like it or not, sometimes don't get along based on the differences in levels of ability, independence and oppurtunities already. Just my $0.02 worth, but a more inclusive name might have been more agreeable to more people.

Agree that the naming seems limited, but as for the point of the overall goal, that sounds great....healthcare and insurance is definitely a problem in the United States...there are some certain 'remedies' as the politicians call them in place, but they are quite unsufficient as they are.

i just had a chance to take a quick look at the site. thanks for posting the link. that's an interesting concept. i've never heard of that before... selling memberships/insurance to fund programs. has the organization been in operation for a while? and has their approach been successful?
i guess sci always strikes me as something that seems to be filed under "that would never happen to me" in most peoples minds. and i wonder if they may be uncomfortable even entertaining the idea that it might. hence a reluctance to purchase such a membership? maybe not. but now i'm kind of curious.
