No, Claire, I at least am not going to be bothred by that sort of thing; I remember 2 years ago there was some debate when it was revealed that some devos dug the 'struggle' aspect of disability-watching dis. guys strain to do things...and even darker stuff. None of that troubles me. Well it didn't bother you but it did bother a lot of other people. And whenever I have mentioned SM in conjunction with devness, it also seems to bother a lot of people. I'm not going to share my private fantasies in a (semi) permanent public forum, then they wouldn't be sexy for me any more. Sorry.

Maybe I'm a voyeur, but I love hearing people's fantasies, whether I dig em, or not!! There's a psychologist in my somewhere because I'm intrigued what's in the minds of people.
I watched an interview with Jeffrey Dahmer last night on MSNBC. I was fascinated!! Here's a sliver of it:
Stone Phillips: Was there some pleasure in--in the cutting open of the animal? Jeffrey Dahmer: Yes. There was. No--no sexual pleasure, but just-- Stone Phillips: Sense of power, sense of control? Jeffrey Dahmer: I suppose that's a good way of putting it, yeah. I suppose it could have turned into a normal hobby like taxidermy, but it didn't. It veered off into this.
Stone Phillips: Was it the killing that excited you or is it what happened after the killing? Jeffrey Dahmer: No, the--the killing was just a means to an end. That--that was the least satisfactory part. I didn't enjoy doing that. I had this recurring fantasy of meeting a hitchhiker on the road and of taking him hostage and doing what I wanted … Lust played a big part of it. Controlling lust.
Stone Phillips: Why the cannibalism? Jeffrey Dahmer: That was--that was another step. It--it made me feel like they were a permanent part of me … Besides the just mere curiosity of what it would be like it gave me a sexual satisfaction to do that.
Stone Phillips: Is it still there … Does it ever go away? Jeffrey Dahmer: In part. No, it never--it never completely goes away. I wish I--there was some way to completely get rid of--of the compulsive thoughts, the feelings. It's not nearly so bad now that there's--there's no avenues to actually act on it. But no, it never seems to go completely away. Stone Phillips: So the thoughts still come to you? Jeffrey Dahmer: Sometimes, yeah.

No offense Tony I always enjoy your writings but I'm rather puzzled about this Jeffrey Dahmer interview recap. I see the fantasy tie-in where we all have our own little fantasies but truthfully the image of a murderer/cannibal kinda takes the wind out of my fantasy sails. And believe me not much can lower my libido... I personally prefer the nice happy thoughts of pleasing/teasing and hearing my fav little Dev laugh &/or moan in ecstasy. Christ if a Chickee (Dev or not) I was privately making time with started sharing these fantasies with me I'd have to yell to the waiter "Check please!" and get the hell out of Dodge. I like a little S&M like the rest of us dirty dogs but sh*t a multi-personality guy or chick with a knife is like a bad horror movie coming to life (It's...it's alive!). I know it's your thread and therefore this island is yours along with all kinds of inhabitants and their fantasies. I'd like to concentrate (not castrate) on happy fantasies and start a new thread for murder, pillage and plundering... just my two cents worth dude... rock-on dead guys... and smile if you're among the living.

Marko....no offense taken, man!! Dahmer's fantasies were extreme and bizarre, and frankly, they scare me, but I was intrigued at hearing them. When Devs were talking about their 'sweet pain' in the abdomen that hits them unexpectedly, I was very interested, too. I'm just curious about people's feelings...i think that's part of why I try writing and playing music. To me, it's all about creating feelings, or having a synergy with someone else. 'Rock on dead guys...or guys that look dead, like Keith Richards!!

Oh, Tony, dear God, please do not mention devs and Jeffrey Dahmer in the same paragraph!! Or the same website for that matter. There are too many devo-haters who would just have a field day with that. That made me physically ill, reading that. There is nothing...NOTHING...similar between the two. Not in the least. *shudder*

geez, tony! i found the comparison profoundly upsetting as well. and for the above reasons claire gave. i mean, there are unusual attractions ...and then there are sicknesses! i do not consider my devness to be either sick or harmful to anyone in any way. this feeds into the stereotype that we devs have to face in the wheeler community at large. and why it is so difficult to "come out" and find a wheeler partner. (although i think even the most committed devo-hater would stop short before associating us with a sadistic serial killer! ) it made me feel literally ill.

I am curious about other people's lifestyles too. I have a close girlfriend who is an actual Vampire. Of course, she knows she is not immortal, but she DOES drink blood and she is heavily into BDSM, in fact, she gives lectures about it. I totally cannot get into what she does, but that is only one aspect of her life and I don't judge her on her sexual preferences.
Jeffrey Dahmer is a Psychopath, pure and simple. I don't think for one minute that there is much sexuality in anything he does. Tony, I understand that you are also fascinated by other people's lives, but I cannot see any correlation between even the heaviest BDSM (which is CONSENTING) and heinous acts of psychopathic violence and while I DON'T get the sense that you were making a comparison between devness and Mr. Dahmer (rather I think you were saying that you find human behaviour very interesting) it is very easy to for us gals to feel the pangs of disgust at such a post being made within even shouting difference of the same thread.
I "get" what you are getting at Tony, but... well...it could come across as a comparison and I KNOW you didn't mean it that way.

i really don't think it was tony's intention to make a comparison, but nevertheless it's how it came across. i think a lot of people visit this site to learn about the "dev-thing" and it would be awful for them to think of jeffery dahmer whenever they think of devs. i wasn't meaning to attack tony personally, i hope it didn't come across that way.... it was just a BAD thing to post on a dev fantasy thread.

Hey Tony thanks for not taking my scribbles personally. You're a good man. As a fellow C5-6 I relate well to almost everything you've ever posted. Our strictly hetero lives actually run quite parallel which is quite a compliment from a Yankee in Minnesota to a Reb in Florida. Anyway be careful what you eat while dining at the Bates Hotel or other questionable establishments...

AB...thanks for understanding correctly!! I wasn't comparing Devs in any way to Dahmer. I was only saying I'm totally intrigued by what's inside people, and I had just seen that interview. You know, this reminds me of a conversation I had with a dude at work the other day. We have these ongoing political disagreements, him being far-right wing, me being left wing nutjob, as he calls me. We like each other, but we argue, so anyway, I was saying, "Hitler used the same kind of brainwashing techniques as religion." He immediately said, "So now you're calling me a Nazi?" Obviously, I wasn't, but I've noticed you can't say certain words without getting a hyper-reaction. Now, I'd love to have dinner with a Dev, but definitely NOT Dahmer...as dinner might be ME!! lol (uh, attempt at lame-ass joke) Mark, you Yankee, you...how do you handle that Minnesota cold in Winter? I need the hot Sun, but then I'm a 'rebel', NOT redneck. Triassic...that was a low-blow, but paybacks are hell. lol

Woah, I'm gone for a couple of days, and the hornet's nest is stirred up...
I sympathise with both 'parties'...was a dangerous thing to bring up (actually, I'm surprised no one else brought up another controversial subject a while back...), but wasn't meant as some could have rushed to assume.

My sexual fantasies are relationship fantasies. They contain traditional and non traditional relationships. My most persistent fantasy is one I've been having since.... God I'm scared to admit how long! I've often tried to put it down on paper (novel form) with the names changed to protect the innocent. It hasn't worked out. I think it's because the fantasy has gone through countless incarnations and writing it down makes it to "permanent" I guess.
