I am not very active on PD, especially for posting but I have my phases! I don't know how this video ended up on my Facebook page because I am a dev exclusively for PD but obviously it drew my attention and I wanted to share it . Maybe it's nothing new. Check it out anyway and I would like to have some comments of electric wheelchair users. Does it make sense? Would it facilitate your life? Or is it unrealistic and useless. I am not even sure if it is on the market .

I saw this on Facebook yesterday also. Hasn't this tech been around since the mid 90s? I recall reading about stair climbing chairs in Quest magazine when I was a kid.

Interesting tech possibilities, but it seems cost-prohibitive or dangerous to me. I could be talked into a safer version, though...
Non-related-Did you check out the video bottom-left...

Didn't notice! I just checked it out and I think this video could interests male devs or maybe also male with disabilities. I don't know how disabled women are perceived by disabled guys. The opposite would surely have drawn my attention more carefully.

No question-it would definitely be in the male dev wheelhouse, but I was a bit disturbed by the fact that she felt that she needed to drown herself in order to get his attention...

Yeah rebel6842, that's kind of disturbing. It was a bit too much. I found the idea of doing this video nice though. It is supposed to rehabilitate PWD but if you want my opinion it's also excessive and not reality. What surprised me more is that it's a French video and disability is still such a taboo in this country. If it means things are changing and evolving, it's a good start. (more movies like those pls!) After all it's the thought that's count. I guess the girl is attractive enough to make guys fantasize. I would have save the guy though!

Yeah-it's definitely a net-positive (notice I didn't say a net win)-and I agree with you that more of these movies need to be made. I am surprised, though, that France is a PWD-negative country? Can you shed light as to why that is?
