Reading “ Kiwi Rules” by Rosalind James. BKA. Really good story so far and several devy spots to me. No inspirational porn stuff. She’s definitely not a dev but really enjoying the story and writing. Looks like there is some light bondage stuff coming up just FYI. Thanks for sharing!!!! I added it to my list. I am very thankful it is also Kindle Unlimited. 😍

I also loved Kiwi Rules. Another book I read around the same time which was great is J.T. Geissinginger's Midnight Valentine featuring a selectiv mute. Something different and not particularly devvy (at least not for me) but a great story!

Amazon just recommended to me a book called Devoted by Dean Koontz. It's not a love story but is a suspense story about an 11 year old who does not speak and his dog. If the main character was older I would buy it but it doesnt sound very devy. Someone else might be interested though.

Koontz is a great writer but not what I’m wanting right now. Need pure escapism, maybe some smut right now. 😆

Hey All, I want to share some books with you guys that I've enjoyed and don't recall seeing them mentioned here on the board (or maybe some have been mentioned already!?) Anyways, here's my list of devy books (at least to me) with not the usual love story Going on. Ramsey Hootman, Courting Greta *Expensive but worth it * Crutches, Wheelchair, Braces Carmen Jenner, toward the sound of Chaos PTSD, wounded hero Jane Harvey- Berrick, one careful owner Stutter Chris Bridges, Seaglass deteriorating eyesight Holly Gilliatt, Love in Sight Blindness I hope this will give some of you something new to read. I'm always looking for new reading stuff so if anyone has also a hidden gem book, please let me know.

chandelier1, thanks for the list. I think there’s a couple I haven’t read. I’ve been looking at the Greta book and kept passing it over since kinda high but will rethink if you liked it I’m still working; mass hours in fact but will try to find time to post a list of some of my recent ones

A book that I read recently that was kind of devvy was "King of Scars" by Leigh Bardugo. I've suggested her book series "Six of Crows" here before and stand by that suggestion.
This book follows the rakish Nicolai (audiobook so I might be misspelling names) after he deals with the repurcussions of his attack at the end of her Grisha verse series. This isn't injury related, so I didn't expect it to be devvy at all, but he has to be tied down each night because he turns into a monster and several of the scenes reminded me of some of my favorite Dev novels.
There is also an arm amputee in this story, but not devvy.
Let me know if you pick it up. You don't need the other stories but as with most YA fantasy, it helps to build the world. Bardugo doesn't shy away from disability, identifying as disabled herself.

I just purchased a book from Amazon called The Grave Man, a Sam Pritchard Mystery. The main character gets shot in the hip and has to learn to walk and ride his motorcycle again. Even if he recovers in the story, it still sounds devy to me.

I'll let Annabelle answer the first question herself.
But the second question is a really good one! For a long time we were posting book and movie reviews on the Reviews site. All the reviews are tagged by disability. I stopped doing it around the time my kids were born, and the site has been quiet since then, which is too bad. I was one of the main reviewers but really anyone can post there who wants to. I know it's a bit more complicated to post there rather than to just create a thread here, but on the other hand, it does allow for tagging and is easier to read through. It's more user-friendly than a random thread of what we've been reading lately, which I think is what you're asking for. I encourage everyone to start posting reviews again!
Another option is Listopia on Goodreads. Unfortunately it just lists titles; you have to click through to see what the book is about. But there are tons of lists tagged with words like disability, blind, wheelchair, amputee, etc. Here is a whole bunch of them, but it's easy to find more. You can also follow a few PD members on Goodreads--I've found lots of books I would have overlooked otherwise by checking out Listopia and the profiles of sister devs. I also encourage everyone who is a Goodreads member to post books you enjoyed to relevant lists, which will help others to find them.
