You're welcome @delight! You can find me on Goodreads under my author name, Lucy May Lennox. Anyone who wants is welcome to follow or friend me there. Not every title on my shelf is dev-related, but it's about 90%.

@delight, or anyone else, I’m on there too under Jeanie with pic of little girl getting water in face. About 90% of my books dev related. Rest all over the place. Warning though, I do read some M/M books if that not your thing. Feel free to check my lists.

Does anyone know if annabelle has any new books coming out ? Also is there a list on here of books which details the particular dev interest, ie para, quad, amp etc ? I do have a book I wrote two years ago that I had planned to start posting in April, but hadn’t counted on getting so distracted by the pandemic. It needs a little fixing at the beginning, but maybe I’ll make some time now and start posting in the next week or so with plans to release in July. eh... yes please!!!

Has anyone posted about “High Horse Bastard” by Kit Smart”? The dudes got CP and is on crutches, so not my thing, BUT I’ll be darned, did it turn on my buttons... lol. As most books I’ve read lately, it needs some proof-reading. But on the whole I really enjoyed it. I'm really late to the party on this one, but I finally read High Horse Bastard. The typos and grammar errors didn't bother me that much; I've seen worse. I guess I'm the only one, but I didn't find it devvy even though I like a CP hero. Kit Smart said on her Goodreads page that she was inspired by an article by Andrew Gurza about the difficulty of dating with CP, which is awesome, and I really liked the premise of trying to show the reality of CP sex without flinching. But IMHO she totally flinched! There's a lot of talk about how women reject him, which did seem realistic. But it all felt "research-y" and not based on lived reality. She never actually describes what his gait looks like, how his legs move or look. He goes on and on about accommodations but in the moment all he needs is for her to hand him a pillow. He's super anxious about her seeing his scars, but when he finally shows them, the narration fades to black and doesn't describe how he looks. The sex scene ends before they actually have sex, wtf? Then there is way way way more discussion of seizures than CP and that's where she totally lost me.
By comparison, the stories on the blog by Lovis and Rowan about guys with CP are way more detailed and realistic, also devvy, in my opinion. I can actually picture their characters in my mind. But the High Horse Bastard is kind of a blank apart from his face.
Kit Smart is obviously a dev, which is awesome, I might still check out her other books. It's too bad she was so productive for a short time then disappeared. Her Twitter is still active but it's all cat pictures. Anyway I hope she keeps writing more devvy books.

I’ll be honest I’m too lazy to go see if someone has mentioned these previously but I feel like if they had been mentioned I woulda already read them so I’m throwing them out there without even checking so apologies if their duplicates Standing On His Own and Coming Back Broken by Trish Edmisten. 2 BFFs come back from war, one an amputee and one a para. Just started Standing on his own today and I’m enjoying it so far.

So, this was pretty devy to me but I know it’s not everyone that goes for this type of book. Lol. I have a wide range. Blindman’s Wolf by Amelia Faulkner. M/m and vampires & werewolves. 😄
When first looked at it, it said he was night blind but oh so much more than that. Funny, and terrifying all at once. Loved the characters. On to book 2 in series. Have fun!

I just read Black Sun, a new book with a blind guy MC by Rebecca Roanhorse. I loved it but it might not be for everyone.
Pro: The Aztec-inspired fantasy world building is amazing, and it's so great to read a new fantasy series that isn't just another Tolkien ripoff. Also the author did quite a bit of research on disability and talked to real blind people, so it doesn't fall into the worst cliches and stereotypes. The blind guy Serapio is totally hot, and the romance between him and the badass siren Xiala is super devvy. He's supposed to be on a mission of magical vengeance but he's still human, and the pathos of his character is really compelling.
Con: It's the first in a series so it ends on a cliffhanger, ugh! Also it's super violent and gory in some scenes. There are three or four main characters who aside from Serapio and Xiala are super boring; I was skimming their chapters. Also I normally hate magic blind characters who can "see" using magic, which is the case here too. His disability kind of gets dialed up and down as it's convenient for the plot, which was annoying.
But overall I really enjoyed the devvy scenes, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

queenkala I got it on kindle in the US. That's crazy that it's not on kindle in the UK. You can set up an account with Amazon in other countries, I have an Amazon UK account and have purchased many things from them even with a US credit card.

Haven't read it, but this is a new release today (I guess Book Bub knows my reading preferences...). Not sure if it is at all devvy or if you need to read the previous books, but thought I'd share for any blindness devs. www.amazon.com/dp/B089DRQQ6M?_bbid=16938561&tag=bookbubnrdigest1-20 Blind Vigil by Matt Coyle Summary: Blinded by a gunshot wound to the face while working as a private investigator nine months ago, Rick Cahill is now sure of only one thing: he has to start a new life and leave his old one behind. He's still trying to figure out what that life is when his onetime partner, Moira MacFarlane, asks for his help on a case she's taken for Rick's former best friend. The case is simple and Moira only needs Rick for one interview, but Rick is wary of waking sleeping demons. Ultimately, he goes against his gut and takes the case which quickly turns deadly. Rick's old compulsion of finding the truth no matter the cost—the same compulsion that cost him his eyesight and almost his life—battles against his desire to escape his past. The stakes are raised when Rick's friend is implicated in murder and needs his help. Can he help the friend he no longer trusts while questioning his own lessened capabilities? His life depends on the answer as a shadowy killer lurks in the darkness.
