Good Girl Gone (The Reed Brothers Series) is pretty devvy. I liked it. Cute romance, not cheesy, also deals with child abuse. Someone mentioned it on PD. Another one that did it for me devwise was "Walking on water". It is religious but nothing to do with a miracle cure. Some scenes are definitely devvy (I like it when it's descriptive). And, of course, the Evan Delaney series, of which I've only read Jericho Point and Mission Canyon because they're mainly about Jesse ETA: They're all paraplegic heroes.

Bought this today on your suggestion. Just one chapter in and I'm really enjoying it! Thanks for for the recommendation! Lavly I read "a little life" on your recommendation and I loved it! It was a tough read, I cried through the entire thing but I love books that make me cry. I had to put it away on the subway a couple times people were staring at me. It had some good devy moments for me too. Thank you for the great reco!!

This week I read "The Season of You and Me" by Robin Constantine and "His Eyes" by Renee Carter.
Both were about high school kids so no sexy dev stuff, but still both cute little love stories. If I had read them in high school I would have died from dev overload! Now I need a bit more racy stuff in a book. "The Season of You and Me" mentioned caths, pressure sores and other stuff that the author probably could have glossed over but was good enough to include the info to make it more real... Not sure if people have talked about these books before, sorry if you have!

Also, not new and probably often discussed, but I just gave in and read "To Each Her Own". I was avoiding it because I guess I'm a bit of a self hating dev, and like to fantasize/read about spontaneous dis guy/AB woman romance...(Attraction "despite of" rather than "because of") But OMG it was awesome! I'm glad I read it, because reality is, if I ever find myself in a place where I'm pursuing a relationship with a dis guy, I'm going to be an 'Erin', not the innocent girl with a total ignorance of disabilities I've always imagined lol. Time to embrace my dev a little more I guess. I liked how Erin was uneasy with her devness and how her and Jay were just trying to figure it out together and make things work. I had imagined that a dev heroine would be a wild confident sex maniac or something, but the character was so real.

I'm actually reading "The Season of You and Me" right now. I'm halfway through and so far, I'm liking it. It's like you said, they mention some stuff related to paraplegia that they don’t usually mention in other books. I tried to read “His Eyes” but didn’t like it so I didn’t finish it. One that I read recently is “Lock In”. It's not devy and there is no romance, but the story is very interesting and it did spark some sort of dev interest, if that makes sense.

It wasn't full of dev bits but the ones it had were good and I was totally in love with Jude so that helped. Plus heartbreaking stories really push my dev buttons. But with or without dev moments it was a fantastic book. great reco! Thanks again!

I found Eve Langlais' recent release of Freakn' Out very devy. Only downside from my perspective: It is a paranormal shifter romance and they have improved self-healing ability so while not exactly a miracle cure ending it came close - from full low para to slight limp even if it took some years

The writing was great, the characters were great, so why did I hate it you ask? Well let's see: What would you think of that guy's behaviour if he was *not* disabled? Personally, I think he was a creep and I found the whole thing totally unacceptable. I don't want to say much, because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but the point is: Double Standards much? We should not discriminate against PWDs, and we should not discriminate in favour of them either. Just my opinion, of course....

Whoever wrote it, you're amazing! I'm only half way through, but I love the self loathing and emotional depth sides of pretty much anything, and when it's paired with dev stuff, with some excellent dev details? Sahhhh good! Just wanted to chime in and say thanks! *resumes reading.

I really enjoy when the female character is a dev and I can relate to her. It's one of my favs. I've read it a couple times 😀

It's so nice reading well written stuff from a female dev's perspective too....I do enjoy fiction that's clearly written by a man (apparently they have penises? Who knew!) because it's so detail orientated, but I loooove the emotion that female authors tend to bring!

Amazon has been recommending this to me lately...it sounds okay, but I'm irritated with the guy's crossed feet on the cover. Hahaha
