Do you guys think the stories on the Blog are appropriate for a 16-year old girl who may or may not be a devotee? She is the daughter of a friend and a couple of indications are there she may be devotee inclined so I was thinking if I should show her the Fiction Blog. Could she even sign on to it or do people have to be 18 or 21?

Pretty sure TOS for the message board require you to be 18. Not sure about the blog... devogirl

I think the fiction blog is just a public blog, no matter what age you have

I'll dig through my lists and see what they are so you can give her some book suggestions as well!

Lurlene McDaniel was an author i read at that age because her stories focused not on disability so much but characters facing health challenges. It fed my dev and was innocent enough.

I've been struggling to remember the name of this author since the thread was posted. I read every one of her books when I was a teen. Super sweet and innocent. I desperately wanted to candy stripe at the hospital since that's where SO many of these romances started. I actually did all the intro classes, training, and vetting. But, apparently, that was THE place to volunteer around me so I never actually got on the schedule to pick up any hours before I turned 18. I'm STILL a bit disappointed to this day, lol.

No! The stories site contains a lot of sexual material. Please do not direct teenagers there! We used to have an over 18 warning, I just checked and it was turned off, so I turned it back on. This is serious, if the girl's mother or teacher found out and objected, the entire site could be deleted. Send her to appropriate under 18 sites only, devoteen.webs.com/index.htm or www.scarleteen.com/

I hardly every see her and I am not even sure if she may be a devotee. She is 17 by the way. I am still getting a feel for her...I am good friends with her mom, and she actually knows about the blog too. I did realize the warning coming back on, which is probably a good thing. Thanks.
