Yeah, to each his own, but when I read that, my gag reflex lets me know it's still working... Yep. To each his own. To me crippled is outdated and derogatory. Only if it's used by a non-cripple. ;-) (I should have help up my sarcasm sign.)

I have to confess, I've been wondering about how to tie shoes with one hand for a very long time... I tried it myself and realized quick: it's impossible. How. Does. He. Do. This. ?

I have successfully tied a thread bracelet to one wrist with the other hand so it's possible. Though, all this debate can be settled only with video proof

@rich86, I just wanted to say I really enjoyed your story. I'm not sure if it's true-to-life or just based on real events, but I really liked the style in which it was written. I tend to exaggerate details for the sake of storytelling. Anyway I really liked the story. Better luck next time, though I feel you were getting somewhere with Billionairess. I'm sorry she made you feel uncomfortable (in the story, of course). I'd be interested to hear more of your dating chronicles if you want to post any more!

Changed identifying details about her and that's it. The side stories/comments about other girls are 100% true as well

Hehe, don't worry. I'm just teasing a little bit. I really did find it very interesting to hear, from your point of view! You should keep up the writing! You're good at it!

I think it would be a very odd feeling to not feel like you are disabled in anyway, but always be viewed as disabled. Until people get to know you of course, but that happens eventually to all pwds probably. I also think it's interesting how "intimate" of a question it is when people ask about your arm. I don't think disability is really seen all that "taboo" anymore. Of course there are still idiots out there, but I've been side by side with a para the past 17 yrs, and typically he receives a positive reaction (in that States that is). People are comfortable asking him questions, and he never minds answering them. The stupid ones he just laughs about afterwords. I think that people feeling comfortable asking about disability is a positive sign that it's not really an "intimate," private or negative thing. It's just a thing. Do you think that you feel like it's an intimate question because you're assuming they're considering it a negative thing? oh yeah! Welcome to pd! Admit I still have a hard time asking questions. But of any kind, not only about disability but other kind too!! I always feel like invading the privacy or something. Usually only ask small talk things. will have to work on it.
