I came across an interesting article the other day about devotees. It's from the perspective of a girl in a wheelchair. Check it out at www.audacitymagazine.com it's the cover article. There really isn't all that much to it, but it's worth a gander.

That's exactly why I found it kind of interesting. Not very interesting, just kind of interesting. In retrospect, I wonder if I may have offended anyone by posting it. If so, I apologize.

I think it says a lot about the difference between male and female devoteeism. She feels like she is being stalked and abused by these men who have no respect for her privacy.
It would be interesting to see how she would react if she were to discover this site and the female devs here.
I just can't imagine "our devs" stealing pictures of us and putting them into a dev-only picture site where they can have their secret little club where they can share their stolen cripple pics and do other unmentionable things.
The whole idea of this forum is to be open about the subject and share our mutual experiences, cripples and devs alike and the situation she is describing is so many respects the opposite of that, as I read it.

No, your devs protect you guys and make strong protests to site owners when they find that one of your photos has been used illicitly. (true story)
Edited to add... Not that you need protecting, but hopefully you know what I mean. Just looking out for your interests.

it was interesting, sid. and i think her conclusion was fairly positive. i do think that on the whole there is a big difference between male and female devs (at least heterosexual ones) but hey, it's always interesting to hear the perspective from the "other side".
i seriously doubt anyone was offended.
