I'm not sure who writes this story...I mean, I know your name on the blog, but I'm not sure what your handle is on here or if you're even someone who posts regularly. I can't seem to figure out how to comment on the fiction blog. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong, but every time I've ever tried posting, my stuff doesn't actually show up. I just wanted to let you know that I have read your story from the beginning and eagerly awaited each chapter. I love that it's something different! I honestly feel like it's one of the stories that could be published and read by everyone, not just devs. There is so much development over such a short timeline, I love the flashbacks and the excerpts from Cassia's book to help with your world building and explaining certain things. I admit, I can't get behind Cassia and Aster being the focused couple...I'm still team Molly! But I totally respect your decision to 'ship them that way haha! I've been wanting to let you know I appreciate your story for awhile, so I figured I should just post here. So thank you for writing an enjoyable and unique story with a devvy twist. Excited to see how it ends!!

I agree, I love this story too! It's so original, and the future society is really well thought out and developed. I love that Aster's disability is wholly unique, and that the story is about more than just the romance.
I don't know the author. I suspect she is not a member on the board here. There is a bit of disconnect between the message board and the stories site; there are regular readers and authors there who are not members here. That's ok.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble posting comments. I don't know what the problem is. Sometimes comments get incorrectly categorized as spam and they disappear into a folder until I remember to log in and release them. But I checked just now and there are no spam comments awaiting approval, so that doesn't seem to be the problem in this case.

I can't seem to figure out how to comment on the fiction blog. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong, but every time I've ever tried posting, my stuff doesn't actually show up. I have the same issue. I write a comment, hit publish and then everything I wrote disappears and my comment doesn't show up?

Sorry you've been having trouble! When you post a comment, make sure you're logged in to google or else under "Comment as", you pick Anonymous from the drop down menu. If you don't pick someone to comment as, your comment will probably disappear.

Hi! It's Gemini. Truth be told I was not on the message board, and actually only had some vague knowledge of its existence... But somebody kindly directed me here, to read your comments. I felt that I needed to make an account to thank you. Writing is the thing I love most, and that people actually enjoy my writing is more than I could ask for. The ultimate dream is to write a book, (featuring a hot male lead in a wheelchair of course ) and I really hope to make that happen. Thank you parashoot and devogirl for the encouragement!

Hey Gemini, welcome to the board! I hope you stick around and post more here. I really like your writing. You have already written a book! You could totally make Reckless Behavior into a book. Self-publishing on Amazon is really easy.
If you do that though I would respectfully suggest revising the ending a bit. TBH I was a little disappointed with the last chapter--it was very abrupt. I'm ok with a sudden ending or even being a bit inconclusive about what happens to Aster. But I felt like I never really got what was going on with Croton, what he was trying to do and if Aster and Cassia succeeded in their mission or not. Also Andrew was Croton's son?? That was dropped way too fast. But like I said before, the novel as a whole is really original and compelling, with some fleshing out it could be a fantastic book.

Hi and thanks.
Brutal honesty: I'm not going to disagree with anything you just said... Critique is great, especially when it's so goddamn accurate. The truth is, the story was supposed to be longer, but I was kind of running out of steam at the end. I wanted to end it before I totally lost interest. I'd love to say that I'll rewrite the ending some day, but I doubt that will happen. And that's my brutal honesty.
(And if anyone has any tricks in reviving interest in a fizzling story, feel free to share...)

That's ok! I'm really glad you ended it rather than just not posting anything more. All those cliffhangers! I'm happy there was resolution anyway. I think the bones of the plot in the last chapter is fine, it just needs more detail to work. My trick for reviving a story is just to wait. Set it aside and don't think about it for a long time. You can always come back to it later and read it again with fresh eyes.
