I am new to this site and thought I’d say hello. I am 36, live in South Africa and have been into guys in wheelchairs for as long as I can remember. The fact that I am not the only person on the planet with such ‘bizarre’ feelings was an amazing discovery for me which I only made a few years back when I started surfing the net. I’ve been in a relationship with an AB guy for the past 2 yrs and have never had the courage to tell him about me being a dev. Hiding this part of myself from him has felt increasingly wrong and incongruous with the rest of our relationship though. After an exchange with some of you in this forum recently, and some very understanding and supportive feed back I’ve finally had the courage to ‘unpack’ yesterday. And of course it was fabulous and he’s totally cool and even fascinated and intrigued, curios and very open to it all. What a kick, though, to ‘speak the unspeakable’ and be heard and accepted!! And I really have you unknown guys and gals in this online community to thank for nudging me into owning who and what I am and getting over myself and my fears. Very liberating and empowering indeed. All of you sharing in such an open way has given me the courage to do the same, and it feels fantastic. So, big thanx to everyone and here’s to overcoming fears, breaking down boundaries and opening ever more to this weird pattern we call ‘self’!

Blue, congrats and I hope you feel much more free and happy now. You see, what you felt was so strange, wasn't so strange after all.

Congratulations, blue. It's like a huge weight off your shoulders, isn't it? I'm so glad he was supportive and accepting.

Hey, I can read Afrikaans! How about that? Wow, Triassic, now there’s a surprise! Do you speak Dutch, or German maybe?

A little german...no, Dutch is so similar to English; and Afrikaans is essentially Dutch.

Hey Wheelie. No, my boyfriend hasn’t seen this site – yet! We are both still buzzing from the deepening of our relationship bcs of me opening up to him and trusting him with my fantasies. My ‘coming out’ has definitely taken us to the next level as far as intimacy goes. A week ago it was inconceivable to me to ever tell him about my attraction to guys in wheelchairs, and today I am not finding it so far-fetched at all to share this site with him. I have told him about it, though, and how it was the main impetus for me finally owning up. He thinks it’s great that I found a ‘tribe’ and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’d ask for the link.
