It was my pleasure to hear some very thoughtful feedback from a former neuroscience nurse who is reading my book. She's one of the few readers who has worked in the field of taking care of freshly injured patients that suffered a spinal cord injury. In her words, "it was so interesting to hear the story of what happens to a quadriplegic after being stabilized." Everyone's story is different, but it's a journey that some beat the odds, some don't.
