Vivi, I think most people equate a lower level of injury with a higher level of sexual functioning, but this is just not true. I will not dwell here on neuro-physiology, only will say that reflex erections are much more common in quads, who tend to have more spasticity in general (lucky you). Psychogenic (short for "getting hard when you see a hot girl") erections are also much more likely acheived in quads. It has to do with the reflex arc. It breaks down as follows: Incomplete Quads (Injury level T-6) or above: Most likely to have erections of both types and orgasm w/ ejaculation. Incomplete Paras: Less likely than Quads, but still may have both. Complete Quads: Infrequent but it happens. Complete Paras: Rare. Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD) is always a possiblity during orgasm/ejaculation and is a medical emergency. It causes the blood pressure to go very high and can be caused by any type of overstimulation such as a full bladder or a big woody! Devo gals, if you plan on dating a guy with an SCI ask him about AD and if he has ever had it. It is always good to know what to do in that situation. Oops! Anti-devo brain fart... I should have known, but then I have never had sex with a wheeler before, and I had never seen this topic adressed before. There are more ways to "make love" besides intercourse. ;D

Like the other quads, I too have no problem sportin wood. In fact if there is a problem it is that I'm hard sometimes when I don't want to be. Try running a business meeting with a tent in your pants. lol
As far as the ED meds, They all work but I prefer Cialis. It has a 1/2 life of 36 hours but for me it works for about 5 days. Although most of us don't need them I find they make up for the irregularities we quads sometimes have.

I have dated a c7 incomplete quad and a t7 complete para, and the experience was really different. With the quad guy, sex wasn't really that different than with an AB guy, except that I was always on top ;D With the para guy, it did seem really different (but in a good way, cos I am a devo after all). The focus was more on his upper body, the parts he could feel, rather than him getting hard, that is, what felt good rather than what looked good. From my point of view, it's not the cock, it's the guy that's important, however it works is fine with me. I know some girls take the woody as a barometer of how much a guy likes her, but that's just silly, and with an SCI guy, especially so. But those spasms you guys get? We love 'em.

I love to run my tongue along the really senstive parts of a guys' body. Do you gentlemen have any specific areas where sensation is actually heightened? Do tell us where those spots are and what you'd like to have done to them.

The back of my neck, just below the hairline, on my spine is probably the place that gets me turned on the most. Soft kisses, tongue, fingers, nipples all work!

I enjoy my head being played with hair pulling, fingers running through it as well as the feel of lips and tongue slowly moving across my neck and upper chest being teased is exciting too

I've always enjoyed romance in my relationships but even more so after my accident. I love to just lay in bed and watch and feel a woman laying next to me, sex or not. Knowing that she is into me and wants to be there with me is wonderful.
Sex is about 90% mental for me now anyway, and watching her make love to me, my mind seems to remember how that felt and sends those feelings again. So the act of getting an erection and being inside a woman adds to that mental arousal. I hope that makes sense.
I know that most women are not hung up on size, staying power or how often one can have an erection especially in a loving fulfilling relationship. But it certainly is nice for a man to know that he does please his partner in whatever way that is. One of the greatest sexual experiences I've ever had was laying in the hospital bed in a halo and having my then girlfriend laying next to me masturbating. My only feeling was of her breath in my ear and the kisses she would give me here and there. But that mixed with the sights, sounds, smells and knowing it was me she was thinking about was more than enough for me.
I also get great pleasure out of giving oral sex. It's the one act where I can use all 5 senses and as stated before those senses seem to be heightened after a SCI injury.
AB... play with my ears and I'm yours......

I said this from the very beginning of my membership on this board: I have had MUCH better sexual experiences with guys with disabilities than with AB guys and this is despite the fact that I am a dev(o). Dis. guys take more time, share more fantasies, have more staying power and more interest in pleasure than the regular old joe's. They are much less sexually "self-absorbed" and I have found that this has no relationship to sensation or lack of. Even the dis. guys with full sensation who could ejaculate at will, have been much more "evolved" in the sex department. You can say I am generalizing, but it's my truth and I'm sticking to it!
