How heavy are those braces? Are braces like power chairs where you keep them longer than you should because you just get used to them? I have some wheeler friends with 10+ year old super out dated chairs, because they are just so accustomed to the chairs. I myself recently got a new chair and waited until my other one was way past its expiration date but I just didn't want to let it go. Same for my minivan. Thankfully the new chair and minivan ended up being ok but it took a long time for me to get settled into them. |

Yes very true. I had my last pair of braces for 15 years or so. I also use a power wheelchair and I had my last one for 10 years or so.
