Any others devs get dev tingles for facial deformities/burn scars? Do you have preferences in terms of lighter or more extreme? Anyone identify as a teratophiliac in addition to being a pwd dev?
What about amblyopia (lazy eye)?

Scars of all kinds are devvy to me! Not when they are super extreme and cover ALL the face, but still I dig them! I wouldn’t call myself teratophiliac because in itself a deformity is not particularly attractive to me most of the time, but I do find the subject interesting. Let’s say the level of interest/attraction varies from individual to individual

I wouldn't say any of those things are devy to me but I find all types of physical differences interesting. I know I'm way more interested in those types of things than the average person so while its not a sexual turn on it has something to do with my devness.

I had a boyfriend with facial deformities. I wouldn't say they were a turn-on. I just found him beautiful.

When I was a kid I was really interested in things like elephantitis, and remember being secretly fascinated with the Elephant man, but it was more the emotional side that attracted me to his story, same with Beauty and the Beast, Man without a face, etc. I also LOVED the movie “Mask” with Eric Stoltz and Cher. The fact that he was dating a blind girl is what really made it awesome for me. I LOVED these films. And Edward Scissorhands.

I have a crazy phobia with all things eye related, so I’m the opposite with eyes. I need perfect eyes. It’s the opposite for me! Though I am freaked out by the idea of getting something in my eye and I can’t even wear contacts, I’m just starting to realise recently how much “defective” eyes affect me in a devvy way. Stuff like cataract or corneal scarring are definitely on my dev radar; not sure about lazy or crossed eyes.

Some scars are sexy as long as it's not super deforming. I have a hard time with extreme burn scars.
I have a weird thing with eyeballs, I don't mind blind eyes that are discolored, or even scarred, but if they move too much or are super lazy I'm not into that. I find eyepatches sexy, with the little scar peeking out from underneath.
When Thor loses the eye in Ragnarock and has to wear the eye patch. LAWRD HAVE MERCY. I think my panties melted off.

I’m pretty into body deformity due to Atrophy. However, I’m not sure I’m into other deformities so much. Scars are hott. I actually find extreme acne scars (aka the people who are sometimes called “crater-face” in high school by bullies).

I have a crazy phobia with all things eye related, so I’m the opposite with eyes. I need perfect eyes. Faces are also pretty important to me so I can’t say that anything face related is Devvy for me either. I could definitely see something very minor or subtle, like a small scar, being very sexy tho. OMG that "Mask" movie!! I almost forgot about it. Elephant Man and Beauty and the Beast were also big ones for me. It's not that I find extreme deformity or scarring attractive, or even that it's particularly sexual for me...it's definitely the emotional side for me, as well. I think my sympathetic nervous system gets aroused by pathos and confuses it for sexual attraction? It's not aesthetic. I really appreciate all your responses! It's so cool to think how different our expression of this super niche thing is for each of us.

I think my sympathetic nervous system gets aroused by pathos and confuses it for sexual attraction? It's not aesthetic. I think my system has some bug, so that I feel curiosity and sometimes arousal when most other people feel pity. That's a little simplistic way to put it but I guess you know what I mean. But what means "aesthetic" to you?

Scars turn me on extremely (that is when I'm on a dev-high)! It's only scars that were not acquired deliberately, though. I'm neither into cutting scars nor into scarification for cultural or aesthetic reasons. I do like surgical scars if the surgery was necessary because of an accident. Surgery scars related to diseases rather turn me off.

Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out this. Lots of things really tug on my empathy and emotions and not really sure if its this or devy.

I agree with people on the emotional front - Beauty and the Beast was HUGE for me as a child. I feel like that's a standard dev movie I'd be totally into severe burn scars. I think a little bit of my attraction has to do with the public eye, and how visible the disability or issue is. I like to be noticed. I like the emotional implications of having to navigate in the world and not be able to hide it or tuck it away - that shows immense strength to me. Anything that requires overcoming some social stigma is going to do it for a me a little bit.

Yeah definitely! I just find very different looking faces and bodies very beautiful, especially when society rejects those things as being beautiful; and YES to the terotophilia!
For me, not so much lazy eyes but love when blind guys have milky white eyes or constantly closed eyes.

Yes but... Not deformities but yes to the scar, for example the Eyebrow Scar or jaw scar, lip scar ,little ones, kind of viking style that gives a very masculine look, also glasses, I love the geek style too. The Teeth must be perfect for me, same with hair. Beyond that facial structure is super important, naturally good looking.
Definitely for me those are characteristics that I find equally attractive in AB or PDW
