Hello everybody I'm starting a challenge for myself in Photoshop editing. I want to take it to the next level and therefore I ask you all (to anyone who wants to be in this) to send a picture and tell you what you want help with. I then try to edit the photo so you get what you asked for. I will only start with the first three in this thread so I have time for other things too Hit me up with a picture and lets do this For example Removes everything in your background and makes your image a clean studio profile image. Want more white teeth? or remove something from the image, but keep the background . Why not just imaginative ideas that only you can say about.

The light and shadow differences make this less than ideal.
For a profile pic it should look as natural as possible.
People are already looking to spot fake images due to extreme catfishing. If a dev were looking she'd suspect this for sure as a pretender, only because you can tell it's been altered.
The room pic has a lack of depth because of the dimness of the photo. Putting that image onto a sunny background you can see not only the edges, but the light on the control unit gives this away immediately.
However, a reshoot with this combo (minus the sling) would be a good profile pic.
As for a Photoshop example, try zooming in more to clean up the edges, especially around his head. You've dimmed the background, but the main image should be brighter.
The light and shadow are all over the place because the images were combined. Pick a direction (I'd use the outdoor pic as your guide) and build the light and shadow accordingly. And give him a shadow. Even if the sun were directly above, there'd be something on the sidewalk.
I love Photoshop, and I enjoy playing with images. I've taken a couple of classes and worked in a digital print shop using various editing programs for over a decade.

I know its far from good and your right i need to think more of that catfishing thing this is not ideal at all, some times i forget that people wanna catfish other people... They pic i got was very hard of working with. The pic with leather jack, that photo was cut into his head, so i need to make it in front so the head was also cut in this photo. and the bakground was in so much higher quality in the pic so i need it to dimmed that out abit becouse its looked so wierd before. Do u wanna have a challenge lucretia lets make one more like this and then see who is better, okay?

I could see if I still have Photoshop in the cloud. My last computer died and I'm working with a Chromebook.
However, if I still have my subscription I can check out a decent laptop from the library and give it a shot. I love a challenge. LOL No promises, though.
Photoshop is pretty cumbersome if you're going to be doing a lot of editing, do you have Illustrator? What version of Photoshop are you using?
If I still worked at the printshop I'd have so many more digital tools, but I'm not a designer, nor do I want to be. I just do stuff for fun, like invitations and cards for my kids and grandkids. 😎

Attachment DeletedI was pretty happy with th background, but when i need to put in the other pic is just hours of hours to make it look okay, still it will be pretty easy to see its edit. As a last try i will try to switch jackets. I had PS CS6.0 or if it was 7.0 im not sure, but i only had it for 30days try. So right now i use a program thats all free its called Gimp ( www.gimp.org/ ) and its similar to PS but not at all effect as PS, but for basic stuff its good enough

I've used Gimp, it's not bad.
Yeah, trying to combine images isn't as easy as it sounds. LOL
So, we had a great graphic designer who was super easy going and easy to work with. Our customer loved him. But the one time he said, "enough is enough" was this guy trying to make a Christmas card out of a family photo.
The photo was at the beach and the whole family looked amazing. Beach photos are rarely bad because people are genuinely having a good time and the light is usually fabulous. Anyway... The guy wanted edits because one of his (adult) daughters wasn't wearing a bra under a body con sundress. She was gorgeous, but dad didn't like the nipps. 😂😂😂😂😂
So our designer smoothed out the perky protrusions. Dad then decided the dress was too low-cut, and if you looked close enough you could still tell she wasn't wearing a bra. Oh, and her mouth was open too wide, her smile was too big.
So, our designer made her smile a little less exuberant, brought up the neckline and gave her a little "lift" to control the girls.
Bear in mind, none of the stuff in the second round was easy. It's just not. But our guy was ridiculously good, and so the Dad approved.
Except, could her hemline get lowered a little, and could it look like she had her arm around her sister...
Seriously, I was starting to be worried for the young woman. Who's dad is that obsessive???
Anyway, our guy was like, no. You owe me nearly $200 in editing as it is, before we even get to print, and the photo looks good as is.
Dad was a bit taken aback that our designer refused to do more editing, but the end result, the cards, were gorgeous.
Anyway, good editing is a fine art and good editors are rare.
I'm not a good editor, I just goof around. LOL
