I'm trying to think of the picture to use for public profiles or to share with people I meet online. Here are some of my more recent pictures. Which one is better? What sort of picture should I M4 instead maybe? I'm very curious! imgur.com/a/ZNeflTp

The first one has more positive than negative. Is there a way to take a pic outside, with the jacket, without the sling, and closer like the jacket pic?

Everyone's an expert 😎 and people can tell stuff is shopped. Better to just take a different photo. You had one on here before that wasn't bad... Is it just too old?

Yeah, the old one is from 2013. I don't have the jacket anymore, it didn't fit me very well. Or rather, my arms didn't cooperate really well getting it on! These comments make me realize I should just find one that fits me well.

I'll 2nd the suggestion that you should have one w/o the sling visible.

2013 seems awfully old, do you have any photos from the past year? I think anything older than a year or two can be considered misleading in a dating profile.

I think he meant his old PD Prof pic is from 2013. Maybe?

More than two years old is definitely too old... LOL
It's challenging to get a good picture. If you can't selfie you need a committed photographer who can take a bunch of shots from different angles to find one that stands out.
But yeah I'd none of these pics are recent you should consider starting from scratch.

Yeah, I meant my old PD pic was old. The ones I linked in this thread are no more than a few months old.

Between these particular two, the first picture is WAY better. Unless you're using a camera that excels in low light situations, you'll get grainy washed out images that are pretty unflattering. You could convert it to black & white or add a filter to cover up the bad quality, but that's played out now. Avoid bedroom and bathroom shots. Natural light gives a more realistic view of what you look like, important if you're serious about finding a partner. Plus, the grass and trees are a visually pleasing backdrop. Everyone likes that Mid-day sun can be terribly unflattering as well. It creates awful shadows on your face. Evening is the best when the light softens. I agree with Lucretia. Try to get a variety of angles and then you have choices to pick the best one. Have your people take more pictures while your out doing things - wherever - parks, schools, restaurants, by lakes or oceans, mountains, with animals, doing things you enjoy, and so on. It will take some time and effort if you're serious about wanting good photos! Summary - take a shitload of pictures.

I've decided then to not actually go with either one, but I also decided to get a new leather jacket. I don't have that one anymore, it was not at all easy to put on and take off. On that note, does anyone have a suggestion on how to get a properly fitting leather jacket? Either jacket doesn't fit quite right because I'm sitting, or it's very difficult for somebody else to put on for me.
The best idea I have now is to just hang out around someone outside, and have them take photos of me randomly.
