Here who are dating or have dated quads? I've yet to have a lady take to me since my accident 7yrs post.

Yes, I have dated a quad, but he was C6/7 and used a manual chair. To be truthful, I'd have a hard time dating someone who uses a vent.

E's a quad. He's a C5/6 complete but uses a manual chair as well. Low quads are THE BEST.

I'm c5/6 I use a powerchair but no vent....ever...Thank God. Yes, I have dated a quad, but he was C6/7 and used a manual chair. To be truthful, I'd have a hard time dating someone who uses a vent. |

Can you define low quad? Yes, Wheelie, to me a low quad is anyone who has funtional return of C6 or below, doesn't require phrenic pacing or ventilation and has decent enough elbow/wrist control to propel a manual chair. It is unlikely for C1 - C5 to do this unless they are relatively incomplete injuries. |

I also would have a hard time with someone who couldn't get in and out of the chair either on his own or with my help. As I recall, a while back someone was describing the problems she was having negotiating the relationship with her quad bf's PCA. That would make me hesitate. |
