Which do you prefer reading if you're a dev who consumes dev-related fiction?

I voted for the third one but I actually hardly read dev fiction. If I do it would be on our Fiction Blog here but I won't go out and look for any to buy online or in a store. I prefer totally different genre in reading, murder mystery or comedy, some non fiction.
It's really a thing about not having the time and enjoying much more to write my own. I do enjoy writing dev fiction and some fetish related stuff.
I also wanted to add that I guess if the PWD writer is a male he will be possibly more focused on the sexual aspect of the dev/PWD relationship. And then I'm not sure how interested I would be, because when I write and from what I have seen from the female dev writers, most sex scenes don't happen for a while and there is a whole lot more back story before the main characters will actually land in bed or become intimate. But of course everyone is different and has a different taste. It's a bit like porn, some men get more out of porn but I'm not sure the number of women who get something out of porn is even close to the number of men who enjoy it. Men are a lot more visual when it comes to stimulation so I would think it's the same when it comes to writing dev fiction from a male PWD point of view. I'm not sure if the writing of a male PWD would involve a whole lot of emotions, back story and drama. Maybe adventure or different time in history would be an option which is also good.

Thanks Dani, and they're interesting results, it helps me to determine if I should continue writing dev fiction or not. It's a pretty niche market in and of itself, but it's interesting to see the preferences.

Well, I think it's just one of those things. You can still write but just don't expect too much and not a whole lot of people because dev fiction is not a very common topic for people to read. The target audience is very small. It's the same for all the authors on the Fiction Blog. We try to engage as many people as possible but there are only so many people who like to read dev fiction and tastes differ so of course one reader may like one story but not another. If you write don't do it for others, do it for yourself and if people like it, it's great and an added bonus.

Yeah I've written 4 dev books, and they've done alright historically, but I don't know if they're really worth doing more in such a book saturated market these days.

I voted for the first option. I don't read much dev fiction, it's just not really my thing. I read mystery/thriller/crime stuff, mainly.
I like Steven King, Patricia Cornwell, Jeffrey Deaver, etc.
What I really like is coming across devvy stuff unexpectedly. And when that happens, it's exciting and fun. But it's not what I seek in my reading.
However, when I DO read dev fiction I, by far, prefer female dev writers. I specify female because male devs tend to write with no foreplay. None. LOL
I've read pieces here, on Literotica, on DeviantArt, etc. I've also read a lot of dev fan fiction.
Female writers tend to draw out the sex scenes with a lot of anticipatory description. Male writers tend to focus on the act itself.
To each his own, but I prefer the nuance and emotion. Plus I like a good story, period. I usually skip sex scenes in my regular reading anyway. *shrug*
I think my favorite erotica writer is Anne Rice. She writes sex like she writes horror, fully drawn out and detailed, leaving you literally on the edge until the finale.

I like anything with a disabled MC, regardless of who wrote it if it's written with authenticity.
