I really like Stewart Lee too... but I've been told my sense of humour is as caustic, sharp and sarcastic. I was dating a lady once who really couldn't deal with it.

I've been around people that seem uncomfortable with it, simply because they ingnore the concept of context or taking refuge in audacity. It can be slightly worse as a PWD, as I've been around those who seem to take everything I say too seriously, as if to do otherwise would be offensive. I'm more comfortable around those who share my sense of humour, someone who I can bounce off and spar with.

It used to make people uncomfortable when I was self deprecating. I value myself more now though.

Hopper Oh yes, a release of liability for sure! Also a non-disclosure agreement. I'm not sure if a side-business like that would be beneficial to my actual career @cerebralpalsyguy Yeah, self-deprecating humor can be a tricky one. I like a little bit of it, but it can easily become too much and a little uncomfortable. I really liked what Hopper said about it in this other thread:

Haha Hopper! I know, cold milk after cold ice cream seems unnecessary, and I can't explain it but for me...it just works. Speaking of cold, and while we're on the subject of showers, I take the odd cold shower now and then. (Although not as often this time of year) Admittedly, the few seconds are not easy to get through, but once your body adjusts, it can be really refreshing. Apparently there are numerous health benefits to boot, including improvements to one's immune and circulitory systems.

Innjured PWDs couldn't sue, so you'd have no worries about any potential legal battles, hence more profit! Hopper: Helping Devs make shady business decisions since 2020. Always nice to be agreed with Amee, especially on a rather polarising topic. Haha Hopper! I know, cold milk after cold ice cream seems unnecessary, and I can't explain it but for me...it just works. I aren't touch the temperature knob, not after last time.... How does the cold effect your CP? With me, if I were to do that, I'd get really tight and sluggish, mobility wise, It'd be a struggle to get out of the damned thing. And yet, the Ice-cream thing is tempting, but sadly I finished my last tub recently. What if.....no, no no. I don't think the world is ready for the image of a Hopper in a cold shower, in the dark eating a tub of Ben and Jerry's. Besides, I don't think the release forms or not disclosures would cover such a specific occurence. What's your favourite Ice cream? I would ask and say least favourite, but I don't think Amee has forgiven me for my anti-Vanilla sentiments.

I've read about the health benefits of cold showers too and have tried to make it a habit in the past. Gave up pretty quickly, though Life is hard enough as it is, don't need to torture myself with cold showers in the morning on top of that

Hopper: Helping Devs make shady business decisions since 2020. Indeed, she has not... because her favorite ice cream is... (wait for it)... Vanilla!

A weird thing I love: the faint smell of diesel exhaust. Not like a big old lung full of it, but like if a truck goes by, that sweet smell is appealing to me.

Speaking of smells, there's something about the smell of Marzipan that I love, and yet I don't really eat it.
