I probably like a lot of weird things but what comes to mind first is my love of vacuuming. I fucking LOVE to vacuum. I find it so cathartic. It probably ties into my OCD tendencies and liking to have my living space be as tidy as time and children allow. My neighbors tease me about how much I vacuum. 🤷 Manda, I need you to come here to my house...I hate vacuuming so much...hate it You pay the airfare and I'll be there, haha

I love watching ASMR videos to relax (they're essentially videos with relaxing sounds/whispering and simulated personal attention). I know lots of people find them creepy or weird, but I don't care, I like having cute girls put me to sleep, lol. Stuff like this: Watching one of those videos would literally torture me. I only realised the other day that my weird aversion to certain sounds (mostly people eating) is an actual genetic disposition thing! I had no idea. So watching videos of even small repeated noises is really horrible for me. *Edit: It’s called misophonia apparently. Just thought of another weird thing I like too - certain type fonts. Not nice handwriting, calligraphy or most typed fonts. But some printed fonts just ring my bell. For instance the Waitrose/John Lewis writing and The Guardian.

Haha, I love reading people's varied responses to the ASMR thing. devogirl is right, it definitely seems to be a love it or hate it kind of phenomenon. It feels so weird to be in my office listening to some girl in S Korea tapping her fingers for over an hour, but whatever, she's super cute and it's very relaxing. Yes, exactly. ASMR can feel super weird at first and requires kind of an open mind and being able to not mind the weirdness in order to enjoy it. Then again, if it just doesn't relax you or give you the "tingles" as they call it, no amount of openmindedness will make it enjoyable.

OK, I never heard about ASMR before, but these videos are really creepy to me. Definitely not my kind of thing what I would wanna watch.
I came up with a new thought in sorts fo smells that I like: I love the smell of chalk.... well it kind of goes into the direction of the smell of rain on concrete... at least it triggers similar feelings.

The ASMR stuff is something I thought I'd like, but then my misophonia kicked in and I got agitated so I listened to isolated basslines instead.
Yep, in the same way that whispering, tapping and eating work for some, isolated basslines work for me.
However, that's not a critique. These other methods clearly works for some people and it's fasctinating to see and read about.

Yesss same! I also really enjoy Kinetic sand I recently discovered these squish balls that have a mesh outer lining. When you squeeze it pops out of the mesh all bubbly like this. So fun and satisfying lol View AttachmentOMG just looking at the picture drives me mad! Must be one of the most unsatisfying things I know! I have played with these and feel the need to pop the little bubbles but can’t. Ugh. oh noooo I'm sorry lol. I know exactly what you mean. This particular item does not give me that urge to pop but many other things do lol

Thought of a random thing. I love rocks, stones, geodes, crystals, etc. And not in a new age spiritual way lol (not hating if that's your thing, just not mine). I just find them fascinating and beautiful. I have a collection and I follow a few geology pages lol. I also thought of a few more random animal things I love. How sometimes my cat's meow is all scratchy. When my dog goes outside and a breeze blows, he lifts his head and smells the air and looks so calm and serene. He is a hound dog and his sense of smell is incredible, I always wonder what he's able to detect in even just a small breeze. I love toe floof ( laur's kitties have the best toe floof!)

I love toe floof ( laur's kitties have the best toe floof!) Awww, they do! Ever since you were here, I always think of you when they have a good toe floof moment 😂 I also love animal things, like when a squirrel washes its hands or when my cat does an extra squeaky yawn! I saw a bunch of birds taking a bath the other day and it made me feel so happy, LOL.

I love toe floof ( laur's kitties have the best toe floof!) I have a very fluffy cat and I love his toe floof! I touch it and sometimes I go too far and he gets upset and moves his paw away.

When I was very anaemic I enjoyed eating toothpaste apparently this sort of behaviour when severely anaemic is not uncommon

I love the smell of gasoline, but I don't think that's all that uncommon. I mean, I won't huff it from a gas can, but I would probably get a gasoline scented candle from Yankee Candle if they made one.
