Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a C3/C4 quad working in film/television here in Los Angeles (development executive/producer). I was injured in a diving/trampolining accident in 2013 while training for Olympic trials (springboard and platform diving) there… yep, for real. The chair and ventilator are an inconvenience, but nothing has stopped me from doing what I do. Actually I still coach diving seven days a week; though not a day goes by where I don't wish I could be tossing myself off a ten meter platform. From what I've been able to deduce over the past six years, guys here in LA just don't have the courage or imagination to consider us quads for potential relationships and it drives me nuts… I'm disabled, not dead. Cheers, Lenny RespectAbility – Lenny Larsen

Welcome. Guessing you could list a lot of things on the recent thread “Things you physically shouldn't be able to do...but can.” 😉

Welcome to the board.
so what exactly do you do in the movie/tv business there? Are you involved in writing series or stuff like that?

Welcome, many years ago I was friends with Dan Murphy’s sister, he was a quadriplegic actor who had starred in many films. Did you ever work with him?

Welcome to the board. so what exactly do you do in the movie/tv business there? Are you involved in writing series or stuff like that? Hey there… I'm an executive producer (which means different things if you are in film, television, or theme parks); basically I establish the creative vision for a project and then shepherd that vision as it evolves from concept into reality. I also spend a lot of time putting together the financing and team that will bring those projects to life. Once the project gets started, everything goes through me. I love what I do and I'm pretty darn good at it.

Hey Lenny, read the article. That's amazing stuff what you do. Being an executive producer is insanely hard even without a disability. It's really good to see people going full-throttle ahead with or without a disability. Never settle for less success than you can dream of!

Me too, it was my favourite past time with my favourite toy. Whoops, the bit about the 10 metre platform was on the next line
