I just returned from our holiday in beautiful Turkey with my kids from where we took a one day trip to the beautiful Greek island of Kos. We visited one impressive ancient Roman site there of which Inwould like to share some pictures. Unfortunately I havenโt figured out yet how to insert several pictures in one post, so I have to post them separately.

This one is especially for nate . I was very surprised to come across the hole of the famous Wise Hare there, as the cover here clearly proves. Now we also know the date of his birth, some time around 5th / 6th c. A.D. An ancient basilica is a worthy place for the hole of the Wise Hare, I guess. Thought you might be interested:

That's great linda! I'm a huge fan of ancient sites like that! I walked through Rome essentially with my mouth open in awe and amazement the whole time It's just so fascinating to me to think that these buildings were there (more than) two thousand years ago, when the world was such a different place and so different for the people living in it. To wonder about how people lived back then, how they saw the world and themselves and if they shared similar fears, hopes and dreams as we do... The idea of time travel is one of the most fascinating things to me and ancient sites like that always give me a hint of that feeling

I was so happy to show this to my children who love the Greek myths.

Lovely pictures, also!

This IS creepy, nate! I saw that right after you had tagged me there and was wondering how you managed seeing my new thread while writing something else simultaneously. But you know I have the highest opinion of you, so I thought you had miraculously found a way... I found it a bit strange though why you chose to inform me on the other thread instead of referring to this one...

I found it a bit strange though why you chose to inform me on the other thread instead of referring to this one... Oh, yeah. It was just that I almost launched into a crazy rhyme like the "chair flair" one from a few weeks ago, and that made me think of you. Just being silly, as per usual.

You may well regard me as a seer because I often enough have some kind of 7th sense. ๐ But you, my friend, must be superhuman. Iโm wondering, do you need any sleep at all?
