Someone's been reading my diary.
Or my mind.

Wow jill55, this is so relatable to the struggles many of us PWDs face and have to endure, pretty much on a daily basis.

Actually kids usually phrase it as “mummy that man’s in a pushchair”

Jill, That was a lovely and thoughtful contribution. Everyone here likely shares your view, although even as a devotee it gave me something to think about. I’m not an educator but I think it would make a great starting point for a classroom discussion. Timm

That is very very very nice...it is great somebody understands that fully. It has been 3 years from my accident and almost two in the outer world out of the hospital. Much has changed, the most of the time I don't even think about being in a chair and then...people popping out from nothing wanting to help...Aaaaaaa I hate that. If I'm in a good mood I answer to that "Do you need help" with a "Nope, and you? Should I help you?". If I'm in a bad mood I just push fast so they understand it is not worth running after me to ask if I need help. Really...I am a very serene and friendly person...only 3 things can make me veeeery angry on the spot 1) people wanting to help just because I'm an unlucky loser in their minds 2) inaccessible bathrooms when you really need one 3) steps...and uh, here in Luxembourg there is no lack of it...I feel like a dog who can't enter the shop.
