Hello PD!
I know things are crazy right now but I've got to get away for my mental health.
I will be flying into San Francisco & driving down to San Diego very soon, any places I should check out? Never been to Cali but I'll definitely be seeing the coast!
Thanks!

I’ll hold off on that road trip for now. Pretty much everything is closed or limited capacity due to the pandemic. Plus it’s crazy smoky

I have done a few of BC coast, and Southern California Coast. One day, i would like to drive the entire West Coast , from BC all the way to Oregon. It is absolutely amazing! We have done the trip from Van BC all the way to San Diego and we still talk about it! The Oregon Coast is just breathtaking! The Red Wood forests are magical! We drove thru a tunnel that’s actually a tree!( ok not a tunnel but you get what I mean) We were actually supposed to do the drive last April- but oh well!

Hello PD! I know things are crazy right now but I've got to get away for my mental health. I will be flying into San Francisco & driving down to San Diego very soon, any places I should check out? Never been to Cali but I'll definitely be seeing the coast! Thanks! Ben I would agree there are places that are closed, but the weather is great and there is still so much too enjoy. If you are into theme parks, aquariums, museums then I don't have much for you. However, SF is such a food and culture rich environment that you will no doubt find something that fits your fancy. Also, there is so much beautiful wine country in Calistoga, Russian River Valley, Napa Valley, etc. So aside from nature if you enjoy wine and beer there are numerous places to visit. www.napavalley.com/blog/napa-valley-wineries-reopen/www.russianrivergetaways.com/things-to-do/wine-beer-food/sonoma-county-beer-savoringI live in Long Beach so if you are heading down south to SD you should take the scenic route and stay near the water. You are bound to see some small mom and pop restaurants, fruit stands, stores, etc. that are able to accommodate you under the social distancing guidelines. dot.ca.gov/programs/design/lap-landscape-architecture-and-community-livability/lap-liv-i-scenic-highwaysI'm going back to to the beer and wine theme, but we have some of the best places to check out on the coast. Heading down to SD there are hundreds of spots you can check out. Also, I added a site that shows outdoor spots to visit that you will be close to along your drive down south. projects.ocregister.com/beer-map/theatlasheart.com/california-breweries/viewfinder.expedia.com/20-must-visit-outdoor-spots-socal/If you like to gamble there are also casinos that have reopened with strict guidelines. www.pe.com/2020/06/01/pechanga-resort-casino-reopens-after-being-closed-for-months-due-to-the-coronavirus/If you enjoy sunshine, beautiful beaches, food & drink then you are in for an adventure. The biggest thing is protect yourself because there are plenty of people that have mixed views regarding the CDC guidelines. Just assume everyone around you is a flesh eating zombie (j/k), protect yourself and soak up the environment. Have a great time!!
