Yea it’s been on the calendar for a bit but it was a ways out. Recording March 22nd. I still go back and forth almost daily but in the end I’ll do it 🤣 haha |

Recording is done!!! I’m actually really happy with the amount of talking they let me do vs the guys the last time. It went soooo good!! Those ladies are really nice and were very open minded and honestly it felt like I was just chatting with some girlfriends. I’m excited for it to come out this week. I’ll get you all the link when I have it. As always, hope I did you all proud!!!! |

rebeckers84 You are awesome. I listened to the W2W one and I am in awe of how chill and natural you were, and how perfectly your demeanour normalised devness. Having myself only just recently outwardly verbalised being one, I give you all the props and a bit of gratitude. Looking forward to listening to this other one, especially if they let you speak more. Those guys were cool but yeah, they kinda like to hear themselves talk a bit much.

Thanks again for being so brave, Yea I was honestly kinda shocked too. But through my conversations with them prior to I could tell they’re pretty open minded, willing to hear other view points. They really were so fun to chat with! |

You did a wonderful job and portrayed our community very well! You were very warm and relatable and it seemed like you really made a connection with the hosts (to their credit they were quite open). As I often say, getting creepy requests online is not a dev thing, that’s a creep thing. And often a male thing (male entitlement combined with poor social skills), sadly. I like how you all touched upon how insulting it is to act like PWD need to be extra careful. Anyone can be taken advantage of! Finally, I like that there was some myth-busting around the idea that devs like PWD because they “are weak” and we want to either “dominate” or “nurture.” I can’t speak for everyone of course but I think this is one of the biggest misconceptions. In my opinion it is a symptom of ableism when people project that onto us. Most of us are attracted to their strengths! Anyway — brava for getting all of those amazing talking points (and more) into the conversation! I’m truly inspired by your speaking out :)

Rebecca!! This was awesome! It took me a few days to get to this because I haven't been in a "dev mood" for a while. I finally finished listening tonight, and I am very impressed. Thank you for reaching out to them and taking this opportunity. Brooke and Elena were very sweet and open-minded, but didn't shy away from the hard-hitting questions! I thought they were excellent hosts. Have you gotten any feedback from the WAGS community or listeners of the podcast? I'm curious to hear what the non-devs are thinking. |
