...i wrote this for new quad SCIs! I remember the first years vividly, and they weren't pretty.
It’ll Be Ok

It’s alright
It’ll be ok
It’s really alright
To feel this way
Pick up the pieces
Of the body you broke
You’ll live with the loss
The fight, the hope
It’ll all be magnified
Your sorrow, your pain
You’ll feel like you’re naked
In the freezing rain
But there will be a warm Sun
If you look to the sky
It’ll take all your strength
To just to raise your eyes
Years will fly pass
And each day will be crude
But your confidence grows
You’ll build attitude
An attitude of giving
And taking of life
An attitude that allows
You a freedom from strife
You’ll give up so much
But gain in other ways
You’ll still feel the cold rain
But you’ll live for those warm sunny days
Goodluck on the publishing, i never even try...i only write for the artistic value, and veryyyy rarely write poetry, but those early years of SCI are INCREDIBLE - really hard to explain to anybody, so thought i'd write something short for a challenge.
