I thought we were supposed to narrow this down to ONE quality....i'm going with my oral love making ability! (now, watch my pm box blow up) seriously your best accomplishment is your ability to eat pussy? You are the quintessential dirty old man.

I have the Ally www.allychair.com/, but this thing is making me a little jealous. I always thought it would be cool to operate it hands free, but I'm a little skeptical about how easy that looked. I feel like I'd want side guards and strap of some sort on there. I bet picking something up off the ground is a real pain in the ass too.

Battlefront is on my short list. I am looking at metal gear solid 5 but man these games are expensive! If you can avoid buying the disc I would. I get 99% of my games straight off the net either via Steam, Origin, or straight from the creator's website. There are actually really good "free" games out there and Steam and Origin have sales pretty regularly. I've seen Skyrim go for $5, almost makes me wish I didn't buy it as soon as it came out, almost.

I just discovered World of Warships, one of those free games that you usually end up spending money on, but I think this one is worth it. I had been playing some War Thunder which is a Tank and Airplane version of the same game. I am trying not to spend a ton of money on games, but still going to get Star Wars Battlefront, then wait for games like Fallout 4 and Witcher 3 to go on sale.

It's just evolution that has trained us to make snap judgments. Life and death choices have and continue to be made on quick judgments. In general attractive people are less likely to have health defects, so they become a more desired mating partner.
So I guess it is more impressive if you can actually over come this with a conscience choice, but I don't think judging people will ever really stop.

We'd probably have to raise your taxes to pay for the obstacle course. Everyone already has knives, let's keep it simple and not discriminate. Anyone with legs gets stabbed. I'm just going to be in the back acting like I don't know what's going on and recommending someone call 911.

I thought we figured this all out. Aren't we just going to form a posse and stab potential fakers in the legs with knives to see if they are real or not?

It's the reason I joined the Marines, and the reason the ultimately led me to this website.

Vancityippy, your appraisal of the situation is most commendable and articulate as far as I'm concerned. Love your views and inclusion of different 'mental health states'... intersectionality ftw! And cheers to everyone else who argued pro-BIID. I'm not sure anyone really read the thread at all. O.o No one was mean even or hostile, except Legoless. Fuck you I'm always nice. Have a good night. <------see, I'm nice

I think getting rid of handicapped spots is just fine, I've never had to not go someplace because there wasn't a handicapped spot available. It may have made things more of a workout, but such is life sometimes.
I think it is possible that people with BIID could tell the truth and get a placard, doesn't seem that far fetched to me.
Who's taxes are you exactly paying for? Are you saying people with BIID don't have jobs? I mean it is a shitty economy, but wheelchairs aren't cheap and medicare probably isn't helping them out.
Go ahead Green, keep these assholes BIIDers in line with your compelling internet posts.

I think the reason PWDs tend to be hostile towards BIID If we're talking about this thread, no one was hostile to the new guy - all that happened is Legoless got mad that matisse along with me wouldn't be accepting of a guy with BIID's intention to use handicapped spots. The guy said he can usually find a good alternative to disabled spots. I don't know what percentage usually falls in, but it sounds like 90% of the time. I know they hand out disabled placards like they are going out of style, so it isn't far fetched to think this guy has a placard linked to driver's license which wouldn't make it illegal. Yes I would prefer he choose an alternative to parking in disabled spots, which thankfully this guy does. He did say he only goes in stalls that his chair fits in, again, I've never seen another disabled person in the bathroom at a "non-wheelchair" event. Yes I think you and Matisse are over stretching your bounds by telling this guy what to do. It's one thing to just say this upsets me, I'd prefer it not to happen, but I literally laughed out loud at how audacious your posts were in telling this guy what to do. I just pictured a big middle finger coming from the other side of the screen and a giant go fuck yourself being vocalized as well.

The gay analogy fits, because it's another group that has been, and is still being told what is best for them from a group that doesn't know what the hell it is talking about and the only people they care for is themselves.

Let's have some compassion for an uncontrollable mental health issue We don't know that it is uncontrollable. That was the point of my questions, which have not been answered. If he "needs" to use the w/c spots but then somehow has no issues with using his legs in other situations, it's not uncontrollable. It's convenience, in which case he would be ok with screwing me, but when it comes to himself suddenly he's fine being AB. Even if it is controllable, say equal to a gay guy marry a woman and having a family. Don't you think the gay guy would have been more happy living the way they really feel? Or should everybody conform to what society says they should be doing? I doubt having this specific mental health issue is all that convenient. Why don't you just PM him and get some answers instead of just assuming what will help you plead your case. It just seems stupid to me that, you're this concerned about parking spots and bathrooms stalls. I get how offensive it is at the initial shock of pretenders and such, but everyone deserves a right to be happy and so what if it means sharing a stall with a guy in a chair who doesn't really need a chair physically. Nobody cares about bathroom stalls anyways, and I mean nobody besides disabled people, so that is already a lost battle. Stay away from Wal-mart and the Y in the morning and you're fine with disabled parking 99% of the time.
