Well if no one else is going to give you useful gift ideas, I have a few. 1. The Free Wheel. Kind of expensive but, an awesome adaptive piece of equipment that makes going on rough surface much easier. 2. Tools, like a good T-handle allen wrench set makes doing wheel chair maintenance easier. 3. Maybe help make a wheelchair maintenance kit or travel tool bag for (incase shit happens, ie flat tire). 4. A good bathroom mirror for shaving since you can't stand up and lean into the mirror to make sure you aren't leaving patches. 5. A dust buster (small hand held vacuum). Surprisingly convenient tool for the random mess.
That's all I have for now. Good luck.

During my time on this site, I had written to many ladies on here and become friends with many. I have written to [name deleted] for about four years, sharing intimate details with each over on various topics and I was led to believe that she was single. This however was not the case, she told me she was scared of meeting a disabled man because she was a devotee, I accepted this and just spend time on Messenger talking to her. Then six months ago when we was chatting on the hangout her surname popped up so I looked on Facebook and found out that she was married, to a disabled man. I have been trying to contact her since and she has blanked me over and over again to the point were I'm sick of her lies. If she had gotten back told me she was sorry for lying then it wouldn't of got to this. Do you think I should tell her husband that his wife has shared intimate conversations with another disabled man, sent photographs of herself to him or should I just leave it? Pete in sunny Oswestry. ya let him know

I have been borrowing ideas from other PWD's since the beginning. I was injured with a handful of other guys, 4 of us are DAK and one SAK. They spent between 2 hours to 2 days in ICU and then moved onto the surgical ward once we got back to the States. I spent 53 straight days and had a couple of relapses that sent me back to ICU. Everyone I was injured with had a pretty big head start in terms of starting to use wheelchairs/prosthetic equipment well in advance of myself.
I can remember before even getting out of my bed, watching my Corpsman doing wheelies in my room, to asking how you hop down curbs, carry luggage. As time went on it was more of a stealing wheelchair equipment ideas, which is how I found the D's locks and number of other little things.
Now half my basketball team has my same wheel locking mechanism.

Thems internet fightin words Wonk...
I am a very practical person, I am primarily interested in the function of an object over the looks of an object. Long story short I ended up with a minivan. I will tell you what, I am sick of loading my chair in and out of my car. So much so, I actually leave my traveling chair in my car, and if I go someplace my house chair just sits parked in the garage waiting for me to hop into it. I do on occasion have to move the chair for my wife or exit out the back door after she has ridden with me. Exiting out the back actually isn't all that harder than assembling my chair and going out the driver's door. Which had me thinking, once I am done buckling my kids in their car seats and they are capable of doing that independently. I would love to take out the middle seats and just pull my chair in side door and hop in the front. Which is exactly what a guy on my basketball team does and he is a wheelchair user (had/has? polio).
If you feel you need to stroke your ego listen to Wonk, or you can do whatever the fuck you want to do and not give a rats ass what anyone else thinks.

I'm not telling you how you should identify yourself, I was pointing out your contradictory statements of saying you're not disabled and then saying you are disabled.
I'm sure you don't care what I believe but others are probably not believing you either.
Your very first post says you are open to dating as well. Then your biggest posts have been about dating, or at least your struggle to date. I like to call it the pity party.
I didn't actually say you couldn't do those things. I just know I can do them better than you. I actually happen to know quite a few hand/arm amputees and I wouldn't say it has made dating easier, but they seem to be doing well for themselves. I find that your physical appearance does have an affect on your "date ability", but personality and confidence are always the key to landing the second date.

I've been following this behind the scenes. I feel like I need to chime in. I went back to just remember who you were by reading your posts on other threads. Most of your posts are as follows "hey I'm 29, born without my left hand and living in Boston." Or you're talking about having a hard time dating and no one can look past your missing hand. I have a hard time believing you only came here out of curiosity. You can't identify with having a hard time dating because of your disability. Sounds like contrasting statements to me. Almost as contrasting as you telling Malibu you aren't disabled, then in the next sentence you challenge her ability to treat disabled people (non-AB/you) like AB people. People don't write, or attempt to write a dev erotica story just out of curiosity.
I haven't been an amputee all my life, but I had no problem doing any online dating and I'm missing more than just my hand. I almost agree with you that missing your hand is almost like not being disabled, I mean other than typing, clapping, tying shoe laces, doing buttons, zipping up zippers (because down is always easier), opening tough pickle jars, but you could still play professional baseball. You've got it pretty easy, throw in the lawyer thing and it seems like you should be beating women off with a stick.
So what's really going on is what I want to know? The Truth Shall Set You Free.

I can't say I ever really thought about needing revenge to the point of blowing someone's legs off.
However I thought it would be cool if some of my high school and college friends could qualify to play wheelchair basketball with me. Of course I'd never wish them to have my disability, but there are some pretty non-disabling disabilities out there that can qualify you.

The Steam sale is on! Anyone get any good deals? Fallout 4 and Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, both %50 off and sitting in my wishlist for a while. Still playing Total War: Warhammer mostly.

I've got two games that I am waiting to come out. One comes out in two days Total War: Warhammer and the other comes out two days before my birthday (No Man's Sky). I did end up wasting money on Starwars Battlefront, when I should have gotten Fallout 4 instead. So now I'm waiting on an awesome sale of at least 50% off before I buy that one. I also saw a new Civilization is coming out, but I am not sure I can buy it new either and am going to have to wait for a sale on that one too.
Right now I'm simming football seasons on Madden and NCAA (slightly older version since they no longer make NCAA anymore). Diablo 3 was trying to lure me back in, but without a major update or release of some kind of expansion I don't think it is going to work.

Everyone on wheeler connect pretty much came from PD or got banned from PD, you're not going to really meet anyone new, besides some dudes.

I'm sure it is completely the disability's fault, nothing to do with you or being a 36 year old college student.
