You'd think we talk and talk and talk, but not necessarily. Mr. AB talks way more than me, sometimes annoyingly so.

I think it's because chicks like to talk......and talk.........and talk........... Haha... too funny. Kind of true. It's not so much that we like to talk a lot, but that women have to overanalyze EVERYTHING. It's not enough to just stare out photos.... we have to know WHY we're into wheelers. And discuss it ad nauseum. Also, women aren't so much into the porn photos as men, so this is kind of all we've got.

It is true that there are plenty of sites catering to the male devotee, but they are almost exclusively about picture sharing. There are none that provide the kind of forum for frank conversations on the psychology of devoteeism that exists on this board. Exactly. It must really suck not being able to find a "safe" place to discuss it. And if you started up your own forum for male devotees of female wheelers, it would degenerate into sharing of candid photos shot without the knowledge or consent of the subjects in seconds flat. Or there would be no interest! Has there ever been an attempt at something like that?

And yet you have something to contribute and I think we are all better off for your participation. This could be debated. Not just me, but wheelers in general. Someday soon I'm going to write a whole post about what you guys have given me.

I personally think it's awesome that the wheelers are here in this community. For years I thought that most wheelers would hate us and think we're sickos. But the fact that you guys are OK with it and even "into it" makes me feel so much better about myself.
And I think it's cool that male devs are here, as long as there aren't too many and they don't dominate things. I mean, we're here to talk about hot GUYS, right? There are already way many sites devoted to disabled females.

Poor Claire!!... that was a creepy thing what happened to you. I know that it is not the same thing, but I believe that it has something to do with that type of psyche. My couple's friend felt a special attraction for smaller women than him. He is 6.1ft and women he used to date was 4.8ft-4.9ft, and they were very small and thin (like they could be broken) One day I asked him why he liked women so small in comparison with him, he answered me: "they are really manageable" and he laughed. He had the idea that, being so small, they could be not only sexually manageable but also in the whole aspects of the life. For that reason his dates only lasted 2 or 3 weeks, as soon as those women demonstrated to have personality or that they didn't think the same as he, he lost his interest. Perhaps that kind of devo think a disabled woman is more manageable that an ab one.

Oh I know, I know very well there are, but usually when one shows up (or a female wheeler), they are pointedly told "this isn't the place for you" Well, there's a good reason for that... This isn't the place for them. exactly. thanks, e. i feel for guys like fred. i really do. and hey, i'm glad paradevo is around so they might read what we are saying and feel like they can relate. however this board is for devotees of disabled men. and yes, i think we've come to a consensus that respectful disabled men are also welcome since they are the object of our attraction and offer a relevant perspective in that regard. if anyone has a keen interest in the perspective of devotees of disabled women, or of the disabled women themselves, there are all sorts of other avenues to pursue those discussions and conversations. and/or they could create a co-ed discussion board. (which would likely be quite interesting) but the paradevo board simply isn't the forum to accommodate that need.

claire, that must have been such a bizarre (albeit super-creepy) experience with the guy at the mall, from your unique perspective. i hope you haven't seen him lurking since?

I'll happily step back to silent observer mode... it was never my intention to attempt a hijack! Sadly I very much doubt that a board like this could ever exist for the serious discussion of heterosexual male devoteeism.
I'm fascinated by my own and other people's devoteeism and from reading this board I've been able to better understand my own sexuality. In many ways I think that male and female devotees have more in common with each other than with the non dev population - male and female sexuality are very different, yet male devoteeism and female devoteeism seem much closer... I find that intriguing.

wait a minute....are you all trying to make fred leave just because he happens not to fit the exact specs of the board? please. it's not as if there is SO MUCH discussion 'on topic' that we can't accomodate one outsider, who has been perfectly respectful so far. does it not seem likely that he might have an interesting perspective from which to contribute?
i was a member of an Atheist/Skeptic board for quite awhile even tho' i DID NOT share their ultra-empiricist views.. it wasnt a problem.

No... at least I wasnt expecting that!!... I have my own opinion about the devo (male or female) that are "stalkers", that devos that behave creepy. Perhaps I misunderstood the point of this thread... I mean... was the sexuality questioned? Fred, til now, you donĀ“t look like a stalker! LOL. I apologize if I got the idea badly.
