Regardless of my tendancies which are suddenly overwhelming I do hope for a cure obviously. I think whether someone is "cured" or not, the experience will have changed them anyway and I think that's at the crux of the matter. In a way I think that's what attracts me as much as the physical side. Not like becoming a wheeler turns someone into this noble and worthy person necessarily but that they understand things that most men will never comprehend.
Does that make sense? Ahhhh who cares *goes to look at picture again*[/quote]
Actually, you're right...not ALL, but I know in my case, I've screamed UNCLE and become a more aware man. There's something to be said for having your back shoved against a wall...it makes you THINK, makes you search for answers inside!!
Now, go get your batteries...; )

I have to say this movie woke up that devo tingle that has been dorman in me for a few months. I am almost afraid to go see it in the theater b/c I am certain that just by watching it with me whoever I see it with wilkl figure me out instantly. I honestly have never had such an intense reaction to a fictional wheeler before. Too bad he turns into a blue creature remnisent of Fern Gully. haha

hey chan. i'm glad you posted that. the episode was fun and i quite enjoyed seeing the mohawked dude (can't remember his name) in particular in the chair. it's continually frustrating to me that they made artie such a big nerd. the hair! the pants!!!! on top of the geeked out hair and wardrobe (and personality) why do they insist on making him wear pants that are waaaay to short? it makes me a little crazy. geez... what's a dev gotta do to get a nice looking wheeler in a recurring role on tv. even the friday night lights guy (who never did it for me, but at least he was there!) is off the show now. anyway, thanks for posting about glee... i meant to and didn't get around to it.

the mohawked guy is Puck (Noah Puckerman) played by Mark Salling. Always smoking IMO but those few chair scenes, ahhhhhh

Did you see it in 2D, 3D or IMAX 3D? It's getting pretty great reviews up here in New York. AVTR on the Coke cans here and Macca's/Mickey-D's and BK starting to give away the 'action' figures. Is there one of Jake with his wheels? No! I still am annoyed that they have to 'fix' broken Jake in order for him to be a hero and get the girl, but that's Hollywood. I am thinking about seeing it. Convince me how worth it, it is.

Its getting good reviews here too - especially the 3D version. Haven't seen the merchandising yet though, but its only a matter of time.......

Saw Avatar in 3D on Thursday. Visually astounding! Story is a little cliched (okay, a lot) but as a dev it's quite satisfying. I expected 10 minutes of Sam Worthington (yum!) in a chair but the film was full of dev goodies. Lots of transfers, very nice formfitting yellow chair (said Stryker on it?), and his legs even appeared atrophied.
But yesterday and today I've felt a little depressed. Possibly an adrenaline after-effect of watching immersive 3D for 3 hours, or a letdown of living in the real world, as Pandora is so beautiful. Or I think I may be mourning a bit for the life with a wheeler I've never had and likely won't ever have.

Thanks for the Dev reviews guys...good to know because that boy is scorching hot and seeing him in a chair is like Christmas came early! Just to mention there is a film coming out shortly called Sympathy for Delicious www.imdb.com/title/tt1270277/it seems like an Indie title and hasn't got a release date but with Orlando Bloom in it, that will come soon. Anyway it's about a para who's a DJ on the club scene who's seeking alternate therapy. The actor in it is a paraplegic (hence lack of distribution more than likely: morons!) His name is Christopher Thornton and although he's no Sam Worthington he IS a para and it's a bit of a good story apparently. Just thought I would give you a heads up xx

It started here on Thursday but I'm still in the hospital so will not be going until sometime in January. From the ads and behind the scenes stuff I've seen it looks great. Cameron has spent 15 years working on it in one way or another and it has cost more than any other film. I hope that when the Blue-Ray version comes out that it has both 2D and 3D versions. I might even have to get the PS3 game.

Me & my wife saw our first 3D movie at the cinema a couple of months ago & ever since then we have been watching all the 3D movies out ,so I think we must be hooked on that form of movie ,SO if we find the time over Christmas to see it ,its got to be in 3D.

Nice link, Scarlett...I wasn't sure I wanted to see the movie, but the interview was kinda cool, although i just cringe sometimes on the 'dis-cliches'. I just saw a news segment on this WC-basketball team, and it as loaded with the usual cliches, and then at the end the reporter says 'And if you'd like to give donations to help with expenses and WCs, you can at phone#.' I'm sorry, but they never do that for any other basketball team. Oh, and the chairguys buy right into the package.
