Actually... even M&M's, Twix and Snickers etc. taste better in Europe.. They make it with a different chocolate in Norway than in the U.S. at least. I've actually done tasting experiments on this... where I compared the ones from the U.S. with the Norwegian ones.. They don't taste the same !

...well also, with a lot of candies, and products that are sweet - most countries can use sugar to sweeten such products; in the U.S., however, because of Sugar Cane protectionism (centred more or less here in Florida...), high fructose corn syrup dominates as a sweetener and principal component of various foods, due to a lack of sufficient sugar. Sugar is tariffed (or whatever the hell the trade barrier is called...), because of protectionism against cheap Brazilian sugar, whose market rate is much lower than what the U.S. can offer...and what provides much of the world's supply.
...thus, our stuff ends up tasting funky with the 'non-natural' sweetener substance, while a lot of the rest of the world can choose to utilise a more natural sweetener, thus making the product of a higher quality or at least influence perception to believe so.

I received this food related text a few days ago,If you don't know much about chocolate & sweets sold in the UK, then this won't mean much to you. Mr Cadbury met Ms Roundtree on a Double Decker. It was just After Eight. They got off at Quality Street,in front of the Fisherman's Friend pub.He asked her name."Polo,I'm the one with the hole," she said with a quiet Wispa."I'm Marathon, the one with the nuts",he replied. Then he touched her Cream Eggs. Later they checked into a hotel. He slipped his hand into her Snickers & felt her Milky Way,then he fondled her Flapjacks & she responded by rubbing his TicTacs while letting out a scream of Turkish Delight. Sadly ,3 days later, his Sherbet Fountain started to drip.It turns out Ms Rowntree had been with Bertie Bassett who had Allsorts.

I must admit I have NEVER had Kinder Eggs.. strange but true! I know about them and have seen them so many times, but never thought they would be worth trying... I guess you learn something new everyday Well now Kinder Eggs are added to my to-do list I have to agree with most that chocolates from around Europe seems to be of higher taste quality then some... I am definitely no expert on the matter, but from the few experiences I have had, it seems the case... The other day I actually had one solitary chocolate from Belgium and it was incredible ;D Why only one? Because it was so rich I couldn't have another I love the taste of chocolate, but I very seldom have more then 2 pieces at a time...
