Haha, well done, Dee Dee, here's another clue: our cathedral is NOT a 'Münster' (= minster), and it is the most visited cathedral in Germany, apparently. This is fun, I wonder who'll figure it out first... ;-P Google confirmed it, but that clue makes it pretty obvious, lol. Sadly, I was in that city just switching trains (during my year in Brussels), so I could only look at the cathedral from the outside. Welcome from another European dev! I got it too l've been to your city many times Katie and seen the cathedral too

I am putting on some Eau de Cologne Or should I say Kölnerwasser? Kölnischwasser ;-) Excellent work, you two! And Enid and Orchid get extra points for actually having been there. ;-) Oh Dee Dee I'm really honoured that you'd put on your Kölnischwasser for me! - But please make sure, it's the right one, because contrary to common belief, the 4711 one is not the original and if you really want to smell like an 18th century noblewoman, you'd really have to invest in some of that Farina stuff.

Welcome and greetings from Antwerp Katie, I've been to Köln just a few weeks ago and yes I bought some Farina for my sister in law, she just love it.

It seems, as if they guys did everything right by actually BEEING in the best place this side of the border (passing through also counts, methinks.) ;-)
Yay, Paul for buying the real Farina! Tourists usually don't know where to get it, let alone that it even exists.

I remember that my two grandmothers wore 4711 on a regular basis and they were very fond of it - so I have seen the bottle a lot during my childhood - it brings back memories However, as you say, it is a little antiquated, so it is not in my collection I have yet to visit Köln and really want to after seeing photos of the incredibly beautiful Kölnerdom

Hallo Katie, willkommen von mir. Bin auch Deutsche aber lebe in den USA. I am glad you decided to join the board...I don't know why the Germans are so skeptical with technology, so many of my friends in Germany don't like Facebook and I wish they would be there so I can connect with them because I love it but the Germans are "weird" with that.... Well, hope you enjoy being here, it is a great place with cool people!
