I remember that my two grandmothers wore 4711 on a regular basis and they were very fond of it - so I have seen the bottle a lot during my childhood - it brings back memories However, as you say, it is a little antiquated, so it is not in my collection I have yet to visit Köln and really want to after seeing photos of the incredibly beautiful Kölnerdom Actually, my grandmother had bottles of that stuff, too! Now that you mention it, I remember it very clearly, I'd almost forgotten about it. As a true patriot, I have to agree that, yes, the Kölner Dom is (obviously) the most beautiful cathedral in the whole world. Objectively, however, I would allow that the inside does not match the outside, but it has it's very unique charm. (So, yes, go see it, it's impressive! And then go to the 18th century palace just outside of Cologne for the real historic experience. Is this getting so much off topic that people disapprove? (If so, I apologize!)

Hallo Katie, willkommen von mir. Bin auch Deutsche aber lebe in den USA. I am glad you decided to join the board...I don't know why the Germans are so skeptical with technology, so many of my friends in Germany don't like Facebook and I wish they would be there so I can connect with them because I love it but the Germans are "weird" with that.... Well, hope you enjoy being here, it is a great place with cool people! Hallo Dani, wie lieb von dir! You're quite right, Germans tend to be very suspicious of ... well, everything, really and feel totally out of control if things exceed their knowledge. In my experience many of my German friends are on Facebook under fake names, while most of my English/American friends don't mind sharing who they are with the world. Maybe in Germany people are more private because being in any way eccentric is something people will be uncomfortable with...? I guess I am more German than I realized! Thanks lavly and artist! Feeling more and more welcome here!
