Well, this place is not that private, I think it would be nice if only devs could see the DO section. Sometimes I don't participate because I think "what if my English is not good enough" and blah blah, but now I realize it's a silly way of thinking. A few mistakes can't be such a big deal. Some other times I don't have something to say, like when the topic is about paras (I'm a blindness dev almost exclusively) or when I feel that everything has already been said.

First I have to say, inkdevil, I enjoy very much reading your witty posts.
But now I feel I've been called out of the shadow to explain my not present presence.
Well, a lot of topics I have nothing to say about. Then, even if I do, sometimes it feels like I would break in somebody else's party and impose.
Finally, there's a language barrier too.
Maybe I should add that I seem to be completely different from all of you, which makes me shy to participate.

Maybe I should add that I seem to be completely different from all of you, which makes me shy to participate. For me, that's what would make PD more interesting. Reading what devs with a completely different view than everyone else have to say sometimes makes me more aware of the nature of my own devness.

I also really don't post in DO because everyone before me has posted something similar in vein to what I wanted to say (as evidenced by every single comment before mine :-p). Also my total lack of experience inhibits me from commenting because I only have my silly romantic fantasies and notions to base it on and nobody wants to hear those thoughts.

Ok, Ok I'm trying to be better about posting. Mostly I guess I feel a little intimidated sometimes by all the funny, creative, well written posts. Also have very little to none experience with pwd's. I, like dreamer, just have my fantasies.

Even though PD is not a dating site, I think our group does tend to use it more as a way to connect with disabled guys than to discuss things with other gay devs. Would love to have the other guys chime in on this with their opinion. Are there many connections made between gay PD members? I know of many couples who met at PD, but none of them are gay.

There was a gay dev who posted frequently and even participated in a few of our dev chats several years ago. His name is escaping me (Inigo, do you remember?) but I always loved hearing his perspective. I would like it if more of the gay devs participated in the discussions on DO.

The main reason that I rarely post is because I'm only interested in fictional disabled men. I think the only posts I've made have been on threads about books and TV/films. I'd love to have discussions about fiction, or deviness in writers (which I think is fairly common), but currently that doesn't seem to be a popular topic. I keep on visiting the site though, lurking awkwardly, in case things change.
(BTW, I'm not very observant and didn't realise you could like a post...)

I think it depends on what's going on in my life at the time. If I'm very busy I can go weeks or months without logging in or posting. I only really contribute when I feel I have something of value to add it if it's a post that particularly sparks my interest.
