Ok so a friend of mine posted this on FB and I had to look at the link because it always fascinates me to learn what non-dev women think is attractive in a guy. www.buzzfeed.com/niaalavezos/older-men-that-will-make-you-weak-in-the-knees?bffb&utm_term=4ldqpgp#.frV1voNDLI do find AB guys hot but only in a somewhat sexual way, I'm just not as turned on by AB guys. As a teen I was obsessed with celebrities and had the typical posters of them covering my bedroom walls. As I got older I realized I was very particular in who I found attractive and that made dating AB guys tough because finding a guy I though was super hot in the small city I lived was next to impossible. 4, 5, 6, 9, 15, 17, 22, and 25 were the guys my friends' friends responded were hot. I voted for 7, 15, 21, and 25. I know there have been threads about this before and Brace has a somewhat similar thread in general now. I thought it would be interesting to discuss our attraction to AB's vs disabled guys and talking in terms of celebrities can simplify things. For me, if a guy is the type of amputee I like, his other features become more attractive to me. I guess in general my standards for a disabled guy are different. Do the rest of you feel the same?

I really get what you're saying. I don't think my standards are entirely different, but a man in a wheelchair definitely grabs my attention more than any AB. And, if I'm somewhat attracted, I might start looking for that little something that's going to make him more attractive to me. I wouldn't do that with an AB.

Interesting choice of men. I'll play!
Djimon Hounsou Daniel Dae Kim Pierce Brrosnan Javier Bardem Brad Pitt George Clooney
According to a Dev friend, I am bidevual, as in I am attracted to both AB and PWD. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Obvious looks and physique are big attractors but also depth of character and intelligence play a big role. Moral value is also a big one for me. Initial physical attractions lead into stronger emotional attractions which is what gives me a firmer sense of "holy f**k, I'm hot for you! Let's get it on!"
This is true for AB and PWD, albeit hard to find in both.

Bardem, Pitt, Downey, Clooney. I'm like Kivic, like both ABs and PWDs. As for what makes a guy attractive for me, it's hard to put in a nutshell. All I can say is, with AB men I'm not extremely particular in my preferences, if I find a guy sexy, I find him sexy. It's a certain kind of aura that intrigues me I guess. Now here's what's really, really strange: I'm MUCH more particular in my taste when it comes to wheelers. I have like ONE type I find really attractive as a whole, and with the rest it's more like "the disability is hot, but the rest is meh". Maybe that's why I prefer to make my own fantasies and like to use certain AB guys as fantasy-para material. I think that's so weird. I have yet to meet a dev who's the same way.

Bidevual is an interesting term. I think its hard as a dev to really know what you want when you can be attracted to AB guys. For me I think generic attraction is one thing and sexual attraction is another. I never really understood being sexually attracted to someone until I was with my husband who also was the first amputee I had sex with. I thought I was sexually attracted to the very hot AB's I dated however didn't realize why I was not so into sex with them until afterwards. Back then I actually thought there was something wrong with me because I didn't understand why I was so disinterested in sex compared to my partners and other women.

I've certainly always known what I DON'T want and, really, have retained my dev attractions throughout my life from teen to adulthood. I think it depends on the woman and how in touch she is with her needs and desires, what priorities she has in a relationship/partner, what she will and will not compromise on.

Ooh fun. I'm game. 28/25/23/20/18/7/6/5
Honorable mention not on the list:
Eric Dane Jim Caviezel Joe Manganiello (SWOON - that body) Patrick Stewart (he just DOES something for me in a really odd way, and his younger photos are just as hot) Sam Elliott (that voice...oh that voice)
I could go on, but I won't. I like AB men as well. They don't HAVE to be disabled for me to be into them. I attribute it to how some men may prefer brunettes over red-heads, however does that mean they wouldn't find a redhead hot?

I meant it's hard to know if you want to be with an AB or put in the effort to try and find a disabled guy. In my experience, those two types of partner searches are very different. When I was single I struggled with which to focus more on. Sorry to be unclear.

I'm curious for those of you who participated in the game where do you stand on the disabled guys vs AB guys? I guess I'm asking specifically about how the disabled guys you find attractive compare to the AB guys you find attractive. I know some of you have already answered this question but I noticed many of you didn't.

Well I'm utterly not into AB guys....they gotta have a disability or, share our ism for me to have any interest at all in a physical way. That said, I do find Ralph Finnes, Robert Downey Jr., George Clooney and Gary Oldman absolutely wonderous to behold and observe. I think that has more to do with an appeal they have for me on an intellectual level rather than just the purely physical look.
I tend to go for more geeky type of disabled men due to my extreme weakness for intellectuals.....swoon.

I found several of the guys on the list to be quite attractive, but some not at all. Amazing how everyone's definition of what makes a person attractive is different, isn't it? I find that my standards of who is attractive are different between AB and DA men. Honestly, the wheels make a guy so much more attractive that I find a wheeler attractive when I wouldn't think he was if he were AB.
