If my laptop could run it, I certainly would. I've recently gone back to Dead Island and forgot how much fun Zombie games can be. Left 4 Dead is one of those things I've always wanted to play, but lack the hardware to. But one day, one day. How is Dead Island? I've heard a lot about it. You totally should! The maps are great along with the fact you can kill zombies with a frying pan and guitar! I've never played video games, but this sounds fun.

JuliaDead Island is a lot of fun. The fact that it's set on a tropical paradise is a nice juxtaposition to the eerie atmosphere. It's very tongue in cheek too, with the player character being wise-crackin' one-man/woman army. Dead Rising is similarly fun in the absolute freedom you have in terms of weapons and outfits and the claustrophobic atmosphere of being stuck in a Mall. Plus the humour of dressing the burly hero in a pretty dress and have him whack zombies over the head with his handbag.

Just the ability to use a handbag as a weapon has me interested.

Either that or we're equally silly.

JuliaIndeed, both it is then. Good natured silliness is my bread and butter. On both counts too, as in get Dead Rising and Dead Island aswell. Ironically, I get more scared by elements of non-horror games than horror games themselves. The animal attacks in Far Cry 3 for example, are absolutely terrifying. It doesn't help that jump-scares exist either. Coupled with a startle reflex as a result of my Cerebral Palsy, it means that my body goes into a major spasm when startled, often making me lose complete control for just a nanosecond. This once ruined one particular date at the movies, which involved said date getting covered in coke and popcorn. She was not amused and stormed out, leaving me and a friend laughing, me mostly out of shock. She later sent me a text saying "I can't do this, your body's too weird." I was devestated until my friend read it and sad "If anything, she's the weird one for turning you down and acting childish" D'awww. Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. I think my first memory of getting shit scared of a video game was this:

@hopper I really hope I don't get nightmares because of this lol.
I really need to make some money if I'm buying new games, maybe I'll wait until the Steam sale happens.
Sounds like you dodged a bullet with that one. Jump scares in video games literally make me jump and I have a bad habit of cursing very loud. Combine that with being in a college student life center and you get very unlady like behavior.

Ah, the Steam Sale, a wicked temptress indeed, Julia. Nah, you'll be fine, just picture my warm smile. THEN you'll get nightmares. Unladylike behaviour? How ghastly! Video Games really are a bad influence. To change the subject to more soothing matters, I like to alleviate the scares by playing this gem.

It's a very psychedelic hungry caterpillar! That can attach itself to clouds lol. I love how the people are running around probably going "what is happening to my house!"

And yet are also happy to try and get a free ride from him. I just love how silly it is.

Currently going through a Dragon Age Inquisition Binge... There are three games I'll play from time to time until I finally beat them.. Assassins Creed Black Flag... And Fallout 4 are the other two.. Binges happen few and far between lately.

The Cullen sex scenes are sort of devvy but I choose Blackwall any day... I LOVE his voice I'm a huge fan of the olive skin, wavy dark haired, well travelled, subtle yet witty international diplomat of the inquisition. I picked her in the game because I've always been attracted to that type.. and I hate to admit that the cheesy romanticism of their story suits me... Used to fence back in the day. There was an adaptive saber fencing group in San Antonio.... went a couple times.. Since I was cavalry saber seemed to fit.. BESIDES.. I always found it the more powerful form of the three that are practiced (foil, epee, saber).. BUT alas.. there is nothing like that in CO. BUT I also have a thing for Cassandra.... weird, I know. My wallet has already been destroyed even without the steam sale. Sadly, I'll be skipping it this year.
