strawberrybubblegum I love all German music, it is my native language after all. I love that there is such a variety now. When I am at home, I always have my German radio station playing for hours. "AnnenMayKantereit" is one of the bands I like, I also love for example the song "Im Bett Verhungern" by Milliarden or "Bungalow" by Bilderbuch. I love lots of German music, also German Hip Hop and Rap, like Peter Vox or one of my new favs is the band Bambaegga and their song "Vater Sein"... Years ago when my husband was in Iraq and he asked what to bring me, I wanted him to bring me music and so while on a small time off in Quatar he bought me CD's from a music store there, I love listening to different music

This is a weird one but it makes me want to dance like a monkey - can monkeys dance??? đ of course monkeys can dance !!! remember the picture I postet a while ago? ;-) It's not online here anymore - so for the newer ones - no need to start browsing now... sorry. But as an explanation - people from my office and I reenacted Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch. It was such a great day. we were all dressed up in monkey costumes and shot that video in the pedestrian area of our city. We had so much fun.

I just finished listening to The Doors - Youâre A Lost Little Girl. Why can I get lost listening to Jim Morrisonâs voice? One of the best voices ever!!

I just finished listening to The Doors - Youâre A Lost Little Girl. Why can I get lost listening to Jim Morrisonâs voice? One of the best voices ever!! Agreed! There was so much to his voice, he could be crooning one second then shouting the next, either way he was a delight to listen to. I managed to catch half of their '68 Hollywood Bowl performance on TV last week and tell ya what, the crowd were hypnotised. No discredit to the other members either but what Morrison ( and the others) bought to the stage was unmatched. Strange Days and The Soft Parade are my favourite albums of theirs, just in case anyone wondered.

Anyone into Big Thief? Definitely one of my favorite bands! This song maybe has the saddest lyrics I've ever heard.

For some reason, this thread made me nostalgic of the 90s. So here's one of my favorite tracks from that particular era.

Fans of folk and/or classical music should definitely check out Harpeth Rising -- a "chamberfolk" trio formerly comprised of a classically trained banjo/guitarist, cellist and violinist. ("Formerly" because the band just recently split after a decade of nonstop national and international touring.) They play(ed) mostly their own stuff: An coalescence of Americana, country, bluegrass, blues, mariner folk, folk-rock and classical, with original songs written primarily by Jordana Greenberg. Jordana also happens to be my cousin, which I promise has absolutely nothing to do with my love for the band.
They're just wonderful.

I recently heard Bruce Springsteen in a lovely Duet. Well... i love to hear that song before going to sleep. It makes me calm down and relax. And whereas it is a romantic song it also makes me fantasize xD

This Thursday is the third and a half anniversary of the day I met her; watch for an explanation in the "Story" section.

I had to drive around Germany quite a while this week and so I spoiled myself with a new Album (probably crazy, but I'm not using stuff like Apple music with free downloads). I bought Disturbed's "Evolution".
This song sticked to my head:

Someone posted the following video on Facebook recently and - even though knowing Pink Floyd, it took me a while to figure out what exactly has been edited here lol. I think it's a nice cut - but Eddies performance seems odd in this version. I like the combination of Eddie Vedder and Roger Waters best (apart from the very original of course)
So that's the cut
and here are the "originals"

Dani , feelsunshine , Amee I'm so glad you guys are digging them!! I pretty much love every song they've ever made lol. They are one maybe the only band I can listen to all of their albums all the way through and honestly love every song. Most bands, even bands that I adore, I usually skip at least a song or two lol. Apparently they are really big in Australia, their home country ( wonk can confirm) but not nearly as well known in the US (not sure about the UK or other countries). I only have like two other friends that know them here lol They are currently doing a tour in the US after taking a long hiatus. The lead singer has been dealing with a debilitating chronic illness but thankfully has recovered to the point they are touring and releasing new music. I have been looking forward to this show for months lol The new album came of Boy & Bear came out today. It's called "Suck on Light" and I'm considering buying it.

If you were curious about the "121212" and number to call to donate plastered over the Vedder/Waters segments, their performance was part of an enormous concert at Madison Square Garden to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in New York and New Jersey.
That show as a whole was incredible; everything we and I personally needed and more.
