Which is your favorite German radio station, Dani ? Probably not mine... 😂 One thing that is so great about PD is the diversity. I listen to Bayern3, that's my home station, my favorite DJ and everything. I used to listen to FFH, then sometines Radio Gong, or Antenne Bayern... Radio stations over here annoy me, playing the same bla over and over again. If I listen to any station here, it's 107.7, Seattle alternative Ah. I don’t know the Bavarian stations. I only know WDR. It‘s great you can listen to your home station through the internet. I listen to radio all day, whenever I am doing housework or drive the car. But I also love the CD-player in my car. I even still have cassette tapes... Oh, and my 13 year old son just bought his first vinyl record. „Straight Outta Compton“, some gangster rap thing as it seems. We don’t have a record player, but he bought it to hang it up on his wall. That seems to be a new thing.

linda , Dani is right! Straight Outta Compton from N.W.A. is HUGE in the Hip Hop /Gangsta Rap world and general music world too (Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Ice Cube to name a few)! I grew up not far from Compton, California in the 80's. Total crazy scene! Check out the movie to get the full flavor of what that scene entailed at the time (and still does now to a certain extent).

Actually we were having an argument yesterday because he was complaining about me listening and singing to the music I had posted here in the kitchen. It’s a good advice with the movie, thank you! What is it called? That could be one way to share something that matters to him, as you had suggested so wonderfully on the parenting thread a while ago.

I wish my mom wanted to share in something that mattered to me.
<imagines> "Hey Nathaniel, may I watch Infinity War with you?"
...
Nope, I take that back.

As I'm sitting here tonight with my headphones on and writing, I have my "Active Child" Pandora station on playing and I just love this song by them...almost as much as "Silhouette" or "Johnny Belinda", which are also awesome...
Best fishing video ever...lol

Loving this new cover of a song originally by Sublime. Not sure if Lana is a dev, though.

reading all the bands posted - i have to look them up - growing up with metal - not so much now - its been alot of Blues - Jazz, Ella - classical - violins - deep feelings no words needed - its also my mood at the time - i been a bit down lately - and anything i listen too now dosnt help - hopefully get back into it - i dont look nothing like a metal head so its surprising to some when i play it.
every now and then - i go back to my roots - Megadeth etc, - get my fix - i been really into vocals lately - its also what you use to listen to music that can bring emotion and take you there.
i hope i dont sound that old - i never kept up with the latest bands etc, - i tend to use pandora and let it choose new songs instead - i found alot of new music i would have never heard this way.

Maybe I have posted this before, but I just felt like listening to it once again this morning. I am an avid Simple Minds fan, have all their albums, have seen them long time ago in Munich, I love their version of "Belfast Child", it's one of those songs that gives me chills every time and sends tears into my eyes.

Does anyone listen to a bit more deeper house and no mainstream techno? I absolutely LOVE electronic music. Techno, deep house, trance and psytrance (i understand it's not everyones cup of tea, but those of you who know, you know is what i listen most to these days. Here are some examples.

I like Techno and Trance, but then again my music taste is something like a mirror of how I feel so it depends on my moods and what playlist is running and it changes like all the time... I know we have some people here who are very much into Techno and Trance and I even know of a guy who is a DJ for it...
