And I love the Sublime version of "Summertime" but Lana del Rey did a good job with it as well

I like Techno and Trance, but then again my music taste is something like a mirror of how I feel so it depends on my moods and what playlist is running and it changes like all the time... I know we have some people here who are very much into Techno and Trance and I even know of a guy who is a DJ for it... Amazing

So, firstly I'm a little obsessed with Halestorm at the moment. At least listen to the first song
Speaking of Halestorm, yesterday one of my attendants, whose suffered my bullshit for 13 years comes in and tells me excitedly that she listened to rock radio the day before and loved it. I start playing some bands I like and she's digging it a lot. I play Halestorm and she LOVES it. I tell her they're coming into town today with Godsmack, I play Godsmack, she really digs their downtuned sound and Sully's voice. Long story short, my attendant who is 52, children grown and moved out, who by her own admission does nothing but goes to work and home, who really only listened to classic country is going to her first ever concert in her life to see Godsmack and Halestorm with me tonight! How fucking cool is that?!

I haven't heard anything of Placebo for forever. Last night, after dinner with colleagues from work, I drove home through my countryside area and it was already dark outside and just some street lights and ..... this song struck me there. I don't know, it was one of these moments where a couple of minutes feel like an eternity and you're just right now in that moment and life passes by. Does anyone have an idea what I'm talking about? newjess by the way, I downloaded the new Boy & Bear album today. I haven't listened to all of it yet but so far I like it.

I don't know, it was one of these moments where a couple of minutes feel like an eternity and you're just right now in that moment and life passes by. Does anyone have an idea what I'm talking about? It was mid-December 2003 when I first listened to Elton John's "Greatest Hits 1970-2002." I was being driven home from physical therapy late one afternoon; it was dark, raining, traffic-y, miserable... and I don't think there could have been a better song than "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" to accompany it all.
It was exactly as you describe: A moment in which you're lost and, at least in my case, don't really want to be found. I hope to never forget that particular drive.
Fun side note: Regardless of what the lyric is referencing, this was the first time I'd ever heard "electric chair" mentioned in a song.

Currently, a song by the Ancient Bards, powermetal band. But I have this liked songs playlist on SPotify that has ...literally a bit of everything in it. The next thing could be a disney song, an a capella thing , a slow ballad or some kind of heavy metal track, I don't know :-) But that makes it fun for me to listen to, I don't like knowing what the next song will be.

I'm currently listening to "This Was My Life" by Megadeth. Kind of a sad tune, but very relatable, given that I just had 8 years of being able to walk (although I was diagnosed with DMD at age 5 not knowing at the time that it would be a lifelong illness) like any other AB person, before becoming permanently wheelchair bound. That being said, I'm certainly not giving up on living whatever life I still have left.

Good for you That's a really good mentality to have. Yes, your life has been altered, but not necessarily diminished. Really love that song, I didn't know it yet. Thanks for sharing.

So I was on an awesome road trip down the Northwest coast to California here the last few days and a variety music was blaring from the radio the whole time. I love lots of different music and genres but was actually totally digging once again the 80's hairbands and one that came across the playlist was Whitesnake and it took me back to when I was a teenager and the great times and awesome music we had back then, seemingly simpler times as well... Aweseome love song right here And this one is a good air drum or air guitar jam song

This is the first track from the Cold album Year Of The Spider from 2003, which I own. It's somewhat of a response to the "can I pray for you" thread.

feelsunshine I've been meaning to respond about Boy & Bear! At least here in the US, they released a few songs early on Spotify so I got the chance to get a glimpse before the full release. So far I really like about half of the new album, the other half is still growing on me. Which is totally normal for me though, it's rare that I love all the songs on an album right off the bat lol. How are you feeling about it? The past week I've had Spinvis on heavy rotation (thanks to Tek for introducing me a couple years ago). Maybe I'll post some later
