Wow... it seems to me that almost a lifetime has passed by since the time I met Dave even though it’s just couple of days ago. I’ve seen so many places and met very nice people on my trip. I saw St. Augustine, Jacksonville Beach, Tallahassee swamps, Birmingham, Memphis. By the time I was done in Memphis, Dave asked me if I had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe there. It never occurred to me to actually go to these places to eat at - I always got the T-shirt and was done. So this be said, I spontaneously decided today to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville instead. So I got seated at a table and there it was - close to my table - „the other Dave’s“ guitar: so „our Dave“ sent me to „the other Dave“ and was there with me in spirit and had a burger 🍔 👍 inserting pictures with only the phone is really frustrating. I’ll definitely send some more pics when I’m at home with a computer... this is just soo much easier.

Here's my total tour - 2,100 miles - 3300 Kilometers. Charleston Jacksonville Beach Swamps in Tallahassee Museum/Zoo Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham BassPro outdoor shop pyramid in Memphis Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville Jack Daniel's destillery Ruby Falls

I just went through the posts on this thread again. Starting in June and being here now. It feels like decades have passed... wow. Thank you all for participating with suggestions on my tour. I had the greatest time... and of course - this is to be continued. Next time, it will be an east to west trip. Hope that 2021 will be a good time for me to do that. And then, of course, I'll have to accept the additional fee of 300 USD to drop the car at a different airport that where I picked it up LOL.
And there's one more thing I'd like to say: coffee in hotels or gas stations just sucks (because it's see-through all through the bottom of the cup)! I don't know how you US people can live with that. Next time, I decided, I'll bring either my own coffee machine or some extra instant coffee that I can stir into the brown/hot-water ;-)

I have a Keurig I take everywhere when I travel for the very reason you describe.
That said, there is also something fun about traveling the country, at least in concept, and experiencing different states' or regions' variants on terrible coffee. For a particularly gnarly brew, head to the Comfort Inn & Suites in French Lick, Indiana; the Maple Leaf Motel in Schroon Lake, New York is a close second.
