Lee, if you call my imaginary friend an asshole again you're going to get a spanking. Bad moderator! Well, I guess I know who THIS is Welcome, welcome to my humble little msg board.... I won't call Alex an asshole again, but can I still get the spanking? Bitter assholes are underrated, I think. As I was reading V's comments, I realized how much I missed writing about them. There's nothing like a lovable asshole.

I also really like Alex from the Jasmine story and Neil from the College Reporter. I think it's the constant struggle with these two characters that turns me on. More of them please! I'd make a comment that those two characters are the only ones with legbraces, but I also noticed they're the only two (for the most part) who are very bitter and angry assholes because of their injuries. Maybe that's the appeal...

Of my own stories, I would have to say that Adam is my favorite. (Actually, I really miss writing about him and was slightly considering a sequel, but it probly won't happen.) My second fav right now is Jordan, even if no one agrees with me.... I don't think I would want to choose from the stories I haven't written bc they're all good and I'd hate to diss any of my authors....

Thanks!! The whole reason I started the page in the first place was I was frustrated over not being able to find stories I like on the internet. I figured there had to be people out there like me who liked what I liked. I'm glad to provide a service for people.
And I really do appreciate it when people tell me what kind of stories they'd like to see. Even if I don't write it immediately, I keep the suggestions in mind for when I get writers block.

Well, thank YOU for your kind words. Maybe somebody out there reading would like to tackle the wheelchair racer story??
As for the congenital disability story, the story on my site "Mother" is about a man with a congenital deformity in his legs. I wanted to write about thalidomide at some point, but I guess I never got around to it. I never heard of foot controlled wheelchair, although it makes sense they would exist...

I definitely prefer paras to amps, always have. But then I met a couple of guys irl who are amputees and I found that even the single below knee amps are very attractive irl, especially when they don't wear a prosthetic and just have the empty leg and crutches. And stumps are pretty hot.
That said, I prefer a guy who NEEDS a wc. Most amps could potentially walk and usually do.

What I like depends on my mood. Usually, I fantasize about paras, quads, legbraces, DAK amps. I guess paras are my favorite to fantasize about. In real life, it's a different story... pretty much any disability, even a minor one, catches my eye. I remember in college I had a professor with one of those lobster arms and I was always in class early, front row center. As for why... who the hell knows?

to be honest one of my most satifying and hottest experiences ever was with a fellow paraplegic. You should write about it!!! (And send it to me to post on my stories page) I'm sure everyone on the board would agree they'd like to hear about it.....

My thanks to you, Lee, for starting this thread! You're very welcome. I don't remember the context of the things Q quoted, but I guess I can see why it might have bothered her a little if the issue is something she's sensitive about. Obviously, she was genuinely upset. Either way, I think rman has a right to say whatever he wants and Q has an equal right to get offended and say so. Far be it from me to attack someone for saying what they think... I won't do that. (Although I think it's reassuring to know there are some people out there trying to keep the peace.)

I met this single below knee amputee at my last job and I went out of my way to be friendly to him. But all I could think about was that he was thinking, "God, another f*cking devo!"

I don't know how many disabled guys are reading this, but I'm just curious to what extent you realize that women/men are attracted to you for your disability? I'm always paranoid that when I'm extra friendly to an amputee I meet (for example), he knows the reason why immediately.....

The movie finally came to my neck of the woods and I saw it this weekend. I liked it, although it was a bit slow. I'll talk about it a little here, so beware of a few spoilers (I won't give away the ending): The film is about Michael, a man with severe CP who is living in a home for "special people". He is intelligent but his speech is very slurred so that he is basically never understood by the people around him. Enter Rory O'Shea, a 20 year old kid with bleached spikey hair, afflicted with Duchenne's muscular dystrophy so that he can't move anything but a few fingers to control his wheelchair. Rory is the first person Michael has ever met who can understand his speech. Rory is sexy as all hell--his hair, the Scottish accent, the blue eyes. He's "trouble", as he declares himself to a girl in a pub. But the story isn't about Rory, but rather about how he changes Michael. Rory just wants to have fun and hates being stuck in the home. He plots his escape, but it is Michael who is granted the ability to live independently and employs Rory as his "interpreter". Rory solicits the beautiful Siobhan to be the personal assistant for the two young men--bathe them, put them to bed, etc. Highlights include Rory racing a pack of kids who think they can beat him on their scooters, driving a car (somehow) and getting himself arrested. Women are drawn to him and tend to offer themselves to him... I don't blame them... he's adorable. I think the hottest moment in the movie was when Rory and Siobhan fight after he gets himself arrested and she storms out before helping him get ready for bed. Michael offers Rory help, but Rory insists he doesn't need any help. Alone in his room, Rory stares at the wall and is quiet for the first time in the whole movie. Siobhan slowly enters and silently begins untying Rory's boots. In complete silence, she readies him for bed. Eventually, Michael falls in love with Siobhan, although Rory warns him this is a mistake. Rory watches the whole painful mess play itself out, unable to stop it. That's all the plot summary I'm going to give, since I don't want to spoil it entirely.

I just saw another coming attraction for this movie in the theater. Is anyone else really frustrated that this is only playing in NY and LA? Does anyone else think the guy with quadriplegia is really hot?
Share my pain, people.....
