So they stopped making the size tire i have used for years on my chair...even changing something like this slightly fucks with me, making it harder to push. So, i tried these solid tires bcoz, honestly, air tires can be a pain; tire pressure and blow outs. The solid rubber tires ok, except i couldn't get them in that size i wanted...only an 1/8 inch difference! Anyway, my chair don't roll as easy...takes all my strength, but it just don't fucking roll like when i used my tubular tire 24 x 1 1/8. Sucks, but i just have to push slower...paras don't have this prob.

Sounds like some major shitty times. Glad to see you back and chair mended. Have you ever used a motorized chair? Would it be cool to use for longer, tougher distances?

i've never used a powerchair, except for when i first got hurt, and I remember the extra freedom, but as a quad, it's difficult to change anything without it affecting something else. I have a new push-chair i can't even use...the back is funky, I don't sit in it right. Not easy for me to take it somewhere for fixing the back. Plus, i'm not even sure what has to be done. Besides, there's other shit i don't feel comfortable with on it. Then there's driving from a different chair...remember ur chair has to have a driving-brace - not cheap! Fuck it, i'll just push this old pony until it dies, or me.

bLOG Just got home from urologist, i want to take this fucking foley catheter out...go back to my old way, which is weird, but less trouble. Ihaven't played music all summer, and not really missing it too much. I've done most of the things i wanted to do, but still, it's fun to play in front of people. I will be interviewed for a radio show concerning my book on Nov 2 or 3. It will be broadcast in the Ohio area, I think. Here's me and music partner doing our version of "Dream On." DREAM ON |

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, even our non-Amercans...good to give thanks no matter what country you're from. So many things to write about, but not going to write much. I know i hate reading very much, so i feel ya. 1st, i notice i've become more reclusive...don't really care as much about going out. I still do it some, but really not that interested. There's even some guapa chica that wants to meet me from fb, but i'm like ok...but not that interested. lol Not like me! Plus, i've started drinking more..bourbon n Cokes - not getting drunk, but 3 small ones help the pain in my neck a LOT, and they help my head. You know, feels good.
I have two male roommates....they starting to not like each other. One helps me quite bit; the other i've known long time, helpful, too, but not that much. I wanted the right chica, but it never happened with girls i've had. Not sure i even want one anymore!

Well, it's been a while, but thought i'd throw down some ink here. Starting 2018 in pretty good shape; last year was kinda fucked with my health doing things i've never had before. I had a stupid foley catheter last year for some months, thinking i might have to do a suprapubic, but I got the urologist to let me go back to my old way of pissing, which is very unconventional, but so much less hassle. Anyway, i didn't play music for about 6 months...didn't even go out much, but i'm feeling more myself now. And something else; online life really helped me to not lose it mentally. It's this internet generation, and i'm so happy i've grown along with it. Not a lot of people my age have embraced it as easy. I've accept my online gfs as REAL...in fact, it's easier relatinships. I get everything i need from them without too much hassle...the emotions, contact, flirting, romantic, and sex are veryyy similar to in-person. The Holy Grail is to have it all in person, but it gets complicated. I have two male roommates and a aide that helps me. One of the roommates has learned to help me with getting in bed when i need it. Plus, he's turned into a good cook, saving me from ordering out so much. both roommates pay rent on time and keep my house nice.
My insurance bought me a big tank powerchair, but i can't see using it. It's not me, so thinking of selling the bastard, eventually. I could use an assist-system, but i don't know which one i cold use. I'm really a higher quad than most that push. My hands suck. I'm lucky i can push at all, and since they stopped making the tires i used for manyyyy years, pushing has becoming much harder. As i've gotten older, even driving has gotten harder. Not easy to be a pushing-quad for 38 years and turning 59 last August.
Anyway, here's vid of me and my partner playing yesterday.

Well, i always get a flu shot every year, and everyfuckingyear i get the flu. This year no different.. There's no way to avoid it when your aide gets sick; she's in my face twice a day. just one more rotten aspect of being a quad. I'm starting to kick it out of my body now, after a week of pure hell, but i'll tell ya, i NEVER get a mild case of anything. If i happen to catch any germ, it's hell-week...i feel so much better today, but still i've been g4etting an enormous amount of shit out of lungs. I'll be sooo happy when they build a robot as a caregiver so i can avoid humans completely. ,lol
On top of getting sick it was so fucking cold here last week. I don'tknow much about other quads, but i have a harder time driving and getting in my van when it's cold...wearing a jacket, even fleece, restricts how i move just enough to make things harder.
